Zeb Rehman was credited as Zeb Rehaman (note "A" after "H") in Chitralekha. Was this her only lead role? (I am just guessing that it was lead role in Nartaki. I wonder why she was not offered many lead roles. She was beautiful and did not seem bad actress.

Ashaji is simply gr8.She has sung such a beautiful songs that,one can not live without hearing them!!! Specially,Kaun aaya ke nigagaho mein,Chehre pe khushi chha jati hain,Hum jab simat ke aap ki,Ulzan sulze na ,Jab chali thandi hawa,are my most favourits.I love her songs sooo much!!!!

Interesting; thanks, Mr. Rajadhyaksha. Preetibala is listed in the cast of Nartakee (1963) and Sanjh Aur Savera (1964). Thereafter, from Fariyad (1964) onwards she figures in 13 different movies until 1974 as Zeb Rehman.
