Camerons policy could take Britain into a 1930s-style Great Depression!!
said David Blanchflower a professor of economics at Dartmouth College, New Hampshire, and the man Mervyn King at the Bank of England credited with being right about reducing interest rates to tackle the banking meltdown last year!
This may be classless Britain but Tory strategists know that anything that links a politician with his privileged upbringing plays badly with many voters. Cameron grew up in a spacious country home in a village of thatched roofs, green fields and classic red phone boxes, playing tennis on the family court and joining the occasional foxhunt paying the class card may be unfair but this man pretends to identify with ordinary folk!
Don't expect anything to change after the election whoever you vote for. All the main parties are loyal to organizations like Common Purpose, the Bilderberg group, the EU and the globalist banking cartel. All are aiding the subversion of the UK on behalf of the EU. All support the growing police state, the aggressive wars, the banker bailouts and the destruction of British freedom and sovereignty. The voting system is there to give the illusion of choice. Research the new world order.
Come clean Cameron where exactly are you going to get your millions from to sort out the economy, watched the debate tonight and you were asked several times by Gordon Brown about any figures you may have on what you're going to spend on certain services and you had a blank face, you didn't answer the question, is this because you may scare off any potential voters by anychance.

I would have liked britain during Churchills ministry. too bad theyre all communists now. Yep im american. In case youre wondering, i am not racist and im not rich, im middle class.
Go out and get up off your arse then and get a better job. That's the problem with Labour supporters .. they go looking for handouts left right and center. Conservatives are a much better choice for these austere times.
Thats the same 'class warfare' that goes on in the states. The Reagan and Bush tax cuts benefited 'everyone'...I am conservative, but by now means 'rich'. Good economic policy helps everyone, socialism keeps you in the ditch.
Behind his slick marketing, Cameron aims to punish every working person so that his rich pals prosper. It is always the same with the Tory Party. They have no concept of equality. Hardworking people are never rewarded under the Tory party, only those who were born with a silver spoon in their mouth.
Cameron has already pledged to cut inheritence tax for the wealthy while freezing pay for public sector workers for two years. At the conference, he tried to earn brownie-points for being "responsible" by apologizing in advance to the British people for not being able to cut income-tax for the richest few in their first term. It's at the front of his mind when it should be the LAST thing on his mind.
You need to look at some graphs for unemployment. You will see two giant humps that go WELL over 3 million and stay there for about 5 years. The dip in the middle only drops to about 2.1 million and stays there for no time at all. That is the Conservative years. The left and right side of the graphs are the labour years and are very low in comparison. Search "Uk Unemployment 1974-2009"
"Just think about some of the signals we send out. To the family struggling to.. raise children, we say, stay together and we'll give you less, split up and we'll give you more."
Where's the policy? Is he saying that help SHOULDN'T be targeted to the single parent struggling to raise her/his children?

Remember the winter of discontent when Britain was almost bankrupt. Because Labour could not balance the books, you see it happening again under new Labour. London is the financial capital of the world tne 6th biggest exporting nation in the world. And Labour still cant balance the books even in the good times. Labours been borrowing billions since 2001 and now running a 14.4% deficit. Sold half our gold at a 20year low, Payed GPs over twice as much for working less. Labours incompetent!!!!!!!!

Since your comment inexplicably has 4 thumbs down, let me also back you 100% there. It seems remarkable that people are willing to forget the rolling blackouts, the rubbish in the streets, the dead being left unburied and the other horrors of the winter of discontent, yet will think instead instantly of the temporary rise in unemployment in the 80s as Thatcher took the essential steps to fix our ruined economy, ignoring also the huge rise in living standards and prosperity for the vast majority.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Nationalisation, excessive rates of taxation on the wealthy, trapping people in the benefits system, failing to kerb union militancy; All of these things have been shown time after time to crush prosperity for everyone in society, not just the rich. In the 1980s, yes, the rich got richer, but the poor got richer too, just at different levels.
I would far rather live in a society where people posess different levels of wealth, than in one where everyone is stuck in a uniform level of poverty.
@vwozone tell me when did the poor get richer under Thatcher? i don't know of any working class people who got rich under Thatcher! when you left school you went on a YTS course then it was straight onto an ET course and when that ran out after a year your employer would then get more free labour with the next school leaver who was on a YTS course! employers didn't even pay their wages the government paid the £25 per week and they also gave the employer £100 per week!! who got rich??
He's definitly got his head screwed on and he's a good speaker and he'll be better than brown. but at the moment it sounds like all talk so he can get into power. he blames labour more than he tells us what he intends to do.
David Cameron is 43, so he was 13 when Mrs Thatcher came into office and 24 when she was ousted. In his most formative years politically, he clearly looked at Thatcher, in all her society destroying pomp and said 'that's the party for me'. That, above all, is why I'll never vote for him.
The bottom line is this. We have no-one to vote for! Cameron, I am sorry, but my gut is saying you don't know what your doing. It's easy in opposition to say the right things or to appear in the right way. GB hates it's Prime Ministers. Winston Churchill was thrown out by the nation and he won a war! What we need is to overhaul Parliment, top to bottom.
He makes a lot of valid points, but is all empty rhetoric. David Cameron's tory government would be no different, as all the main parties are loyal to the existing power structure. The voting system is there to give the illusion of peoples choice. The police state is still being built around us, and another puppet politician isn't going to change that. This is all part of a broader globalist agenda. Research the new world order.
Even Churchill was loyal to the same agenda. But Britain still had more stability back then in some ways as the agenda wasn't as far down the road as it is now.
In 1945 Churchill was not popular with citizens and lost the election despite winning a war when he was PM. He was heart broken and depressed. So when you day firm government even Churchill couldn't win an election! The saying " You don't know what you have until you loose it" is appropriate here, and the massive state funeral reflected how stupid we (uk) citizens can be.
That's the problem with the British political system. It's unicameral, and people can just boot out who they're tired with. I mean, Attlee didn't do that well, and Churchiil returned. Unicameral systems can interrupt important progress like Churchill was making.
David Cameron should be prime minister, Labour has done enough damage and they need to go. I don't know why people keep judging David Cameron by what the conservative party have done in the past. David's incharge now and he's going to change things for the better.

reform reform ok david heres what i think you stop claiming £1,000 a month from the tax payers to pay your council tax and stop claiming £800 a month from the tax payers to pay your morgage after all we are all in this together or are we
xladydaf 1 year ago 6
We are going to privatise the Post Office and the NHS why?
Because you will PAY fro your health care.
If you cant afford it TOUGH.
We are NOT going to pay our tax money to lazy slobs and middle class.
We have no time for wasters, get a job and work 24 hrs if you want the lush life styles of the British upper classes.
I am NOT a toff i am merely wanting this once great nation to fulfill its potential.
By privatising NHS we will force the poor to work .
Yes you might sweat.

Are you being sarcastic?
I'm not entirely sure, it sounds sarcastic but that's just because you make your argument sound uncaring and mean.
Just need to know first before i tell you were to stick it!!

Long live us Tories.
You rif raf below are an insult to society.
Poverty stricken judgmental retards.
Us conservatives will soon be back in control of you lot.
Rif raf will be kissing my ass again.
You will no longer get minimum wages and thus you will be left with greater competition to get the quality jobs PLUS we will introduce YTS schemes again.
You will be queuing up for your unemployment benefits for hours in full public view so that we can ridicule you even more.

Good economic policy helps everyone, socialism keeps you in the ditch.
propatria431 2 years ago
Behind his slick marketing, Cameron aims to punish every working person so that his rich pals prosper. It is always the same with the Tory Party. They have no concept of equality. Hardworking people are never rewarded under the Tory party, only those who were born with a silver spoon in their mouth.
7Snakes7 2 years ago 2
Cameron has already pledged to cut inheritence tax for the wealthy while freezing pay for public sector workers for two years. At the conference, he tried to earn brownie-points for being "responsible" by apologizing in advance to the British people for not being able to cut income-tax for the richest few in their first term. It's at the front of his mind when it should be the LAST thing on his mind.

Dave.

It seems remarkable that people are willing to forget the rolling blackouts, the rubbish in the streets, the dead being left unburied and the other horrors of the winter of discontent, yet will think instead instantly of the temporary rise in unemployment in the 80s as Thatcher took the essential steps to fix our ruined economy, ignoring also the huge rise in living standards and prosperity for the vast majority.

you mean prosperity for the rich!! the poor got poorer while the rich got richer! i've experienced a tory government have you?

Nationalisation, excessive rates of taxation on the wealthy, trapping people in the benefits system, failing to kerb union militancy; All of these things have been shown time after time to crush prosperity for everyone in society, not just the rich. In the 1980s, yes, the rich got richer, but the poor got richer too, just at different levels.
I would far rather live in a society where people posess different levels of wealth, than in one where everyone is stuck in a uniform level of poverty.
vwozone 2 years ago
@vwozone tell me when did the poor get richer under Thatcher? i don't know of any working class people who got rich under Thatcher! when you left school you went on a YTS course then it was straight onto an ET course and when that ran out after a year your employer would then get more free labour with the next school leaver who was on a YTS course! employers didn't even pay their wages the government paid the £25 per week and they also gave the employer £100 per week!! who got rich??

@vwozone "temporary rise in unemployment in the 80's" ha ha Thatcher fixed fuck all! you should have said "Thatcher fucked it all up"

He's definitly got his head screwed on and he's a good speaker and he'll be better than brown. but at the moment it sounds like all talk so he can get into power. he blames labour more than he tells us what he intends to do.

How can someone disagree with him? The Tory is the only party with common sense.
lelobest 2 years ago
David Cameron is 43, so he was 13 when Mrs Thatcher came into office and 24 when she was ousted. In his most formative years politically, he clearly looked at Thatcher, in all her society destroying pomp and said 'that's the party for me'. That, above all, is why I'll never vote for him.
TheNotoriousBOA 2 years ago 3
The bottom line is this. We have no-one to vote for! Cameron, I am sorry, but my gut is saying you don't know what your doing. It's easy in opposition to say the right things or to appear in the right way. GB hates it's Prime Ministers. Winston Churchill was thrown out by the nation and he won a war! What we need is to overhaul Parliment, top to bottom.
hencotv 2 years ago
He makes a lot of valid points, but is all empty rhetoric. David Cameron's tory government would be no different, as all the main parties are loyal to the existing power structure. The voting system is there to give the illusion of peoples choice. The police state is still being built around us, and another puppet politician isn't going to change that. This is all part of a broader globalist agenda. Research the new world order.
boogaloo80 2 years ago
That's probably true. I doubt he will take Britain back to the firm government of Churchill.
TheGeekyNinjaStudios 2 years ago
Even Churchill was loyal to the same agenda. But Britain still had more stability back then in some ways as the agenda wasn't as far down the road as it is now.
boogaloo80 2 years ago
In 1945 Churchill was not popular with citizens and lost the election despite winning a war when he was PM. He was heart broken and depressed. So when you day firm government even Churchill couldn't win an election! The saying " You don't know what you have until you loose it" is appropriate here, and the massive state funeral reflected how stupid we (uk) citizens can be.
hencotv 2 years ago
That's the problem with the British political system. It's unicameral, and people can just boot out who they're tired with. I mean, Attlee didn't do that well, and Churchiil returned. Unicameral systems can interrupt important progress like Churchill was making.

David Cameron should be prime minister, Labour has done enough damage and they need to go. I don't know why people keep judging David Cameron by what the conservative party have done in the past. David's incharge now and he's going to change things for the better.
