I beg to differ, you can't attempt to draw a parallel between stripping and acting. Acting is fiction, stripping is reality. I dont judge strippers personally, but the human mind is predisposed to make assumptions or form stereotypes based on certain experiences. So if most strippers are loose, then people generally will equate stippers with being loose.I personally however don;t agree with the concept of stripping, i feel that ladies can achieve bigger things if they applied themselves.

U have 2 deal with really old men, u have 2 get guys kicked out the club bc they don't know how 2 act. 1 time I was dancing for this man & he pulled out his penis & almost put it in me he almost validated me. Their is nothing good about dancing. U have 2 deal with really old men, u have 2 get guys kicked out the club bc they don't know how 2 act. 1 time I was dancing for this man & he pulled out his penis & almost put it in me he almost validated me. Love the discussion. What were the strip clubs like where you worked? (Location?) Specifically, were the dancers giving "extras" in back? Were the customers able to feel your body with their hands? Did you grind on their laps? Did you date any of the customers (that is, real dates)? Clubs in San Franciso only clubs I've seen where customers can feel the dancers. I noticed that in the white upscale strip clubs women are better respected by the clients because men coming in those type of clubs have white collar jobs and the environment is not a thuggish rough club. Same as a mostly, black Upscale strip club as well. Brothers in the not so upscale black strip clubs is a more rough thuggish environment and really do not respect women nor themselves and really were not taught by their fathers how to be respectful towards a woman.

I really believe that we shouldn't judge people. It's actually a command not to judge. However, we all make assessments and continue to measure one's character by their deeds.
This video is great because it shows that judging a book by its cover doesn't tell you anything about its contents.

they aren't encouraging it... they're making it seem like its fine to degrade yourself to make ends meet... every1 is given PLENTY opportunities in life to avoid hitting that rock bottom point where stripping is a "must"... it depends on how you handle those opportunities... now go head n right your next essay....

Not everyone is given the same opportunities and/or afforded the same luxuries in life, at all. If that were true, we'd all be the Hiltons and Sheratons of the world. Not everyone has the same chances in life. Are who are you to say what I'm defending? I'm teling you what I'm defending. No I don't think I'm right about everything or have the need to be right, but, I do know it's not right to judge people, especially without knowing their circumstances. I agree, on the real, I would rather flip burgers then eventually have to say I was a stripper.
I know I am imperfect and I have done alot of things and still continue to, but stripping or working in the sex industry is one I would not even if it meant food on the table, there are SOO many other opportunities.

i could've sworn i said MOST OF THE TIME... you can never assume ALL of anyone is a certain way... taken away from you, and stripping was the only thing available, what would you do? Hang your family out to dry because of fear that someone wouldn't respect you? THAT would be unrespectable. To do something for the salvation of something in your life, you pretty much do what you have to do. And I personally respect ANYONE that does it. Male, female, some things you just have to do at times.

All of those professions women get payed to take off their clothes for a living but they are somehow more respected. True, they do get more respect in society and some people do have to do what they have to do. Just like the thousands of people who lose jobs when companies go under or get fired for company downsizing and that WAS their job so you never know the circumstances! It's not an excuse, it's a reason! Cause and effect, easily. And it's only dirty if the person doing it is dirty themselves. And some people DO respect them, bottom line, YOU don't have to be that person, but SOMEONE will.

How were they irresponsible because their company went under, HELLOOOO they're not. Sorry to break it to you, not everything you do in life is preventable, escapble, or something you can plan for. And that's good to know because I HAVE CLASSES TOO! College one's :) And luckily I'm NOT stripping to pay for it. I don't have stripping in my future as far as I know, but life is like a box of chocolates... You know the rest.

Bottom line: There are no twists and no turns except for the one's that the dancer's do on the poles, some women DO have NO REASON to do it, true, but, MOST are doing it to take care of what they have to. The people who are strippers probably didn't dig themselves into a hole, they just fell into an unexpected pothole and needed a way out. YOU don't know. Males do it too. And if they GET respect they DO, but they are aware of people who won't give it.
