  • Today Native Indigenous Pagans from around the world are now promoting the month of March as INTERNATIONAL PAGAN PRIDE MONTH. The time is now to liberate your mind and claim yourself independence from the modern religion that has branched off from the Abrahamic Mythology which promotes self center arrogances. If you are proud of your Native Pagan Ancestors, wear all green this month and Promote INTERNATIONAL PAGAN PRIDE MONTH!

  • It is his real voice...and it's amazing!!!!

  • Very complex song. Took me an entire week at one hour a night to learn, but was well worth it. Notice how Mayer uses his thumb to form the bass note. I really like three part (vs. two) part songs.

Long may Britannia reign over Ireland.

  • What the fuck does "inependent" mean? ya stupid twat.

  • @shanesmurph

What the fuck does "ya" mean?

    You stupid twat.

  • @cnavaro88

    Is slang for "you", dumbass.

  • how can you resist a creepy racist like our dear johnny boy?

  • Just you remember who owns you, Ireland.

You are part of the BRITISH ISLES

  • fuckin eegit. ireland has been independent from britain for quite a while now. consult a history book

  • Elliasscreech, I clicked on the thumb up sign on your comment but don't think of it that way because I have to point out that Guinness was established in 1759 by Irishman Arthur Guinness. It was later bought by Diageo which may explain your comment.

  • The girls in the audience look funny!

  • but atleast we have the pot of gold... what do you have. NO GOLD IRISH PRIDE!

  • I'm Irish and straight edge so your blanket statement is fail. =)

  • Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • @CapitalGain1 Your just jealous nobody gives a shit about Scottish culture. Come to Chicago or any other American city and say that shit you fuck. I'm Scottish too but but all Scotland really gave the world was haggis and Mel Gibson.

  • @ajax515 wow... you must be daft... mel gibson was born in new york and raised in australia... and scotland gave the world golf

  • @dethisbtfl No shit sherlock, but he was of Scottish ancestry which is why I said that. Oh yeah golf that game where rich assholes knock a little white ball through ponds and sand dunes till they break their expensive clubs over their knees and have their butler take them home in the golf cart yeah no congratulations on that one.

  • A jealous Scotsman right there. Find youre own culture.

  • MIAOW! since were making random angry generalisations all scottish people do is eat haggis, sing '500 miles', wear skirts and marry their cousins

  • Pride? You joking? what the fuck do you have to be proud of? Fucking idiot.

  • Guinness comes from leixlip in county kildare ireland . St patrick returned to ireland of his own accord after he reeived a vision from god and danny boy, that is a very poor song in comparison to the wealth of our own traditional music . And if you want to talk about stealing george, paul and john of the beatles are all of irish descent.

  • I love Dela. :)

  • all that stuff is a lie! you're just jealous that we came came up with it first! Stop bashing on the Irish

  • They should have fought for all of that! Oh that's right, the English can't fight. Must be all the pain from their rotting teeth!

  • Don't forget your language, which we stole and made 10 times better than any Brit ever could!

  • twat

  • happy st. patrick's day everyone! :) <3

  • C'mon Fester, dust off that video camera and get out there!

All your little buddies on Stormfront are waiting for the second installment of your creepy little franchise!

  • Man that drummer sucks! Atleast when you consider he got the call from John Mayer...

  • Who has woe? Who has sorrow?

Who has strife? Who has complaints?

Who has needless bruises? Who has bloodshot eyes?

Those who linger over wine, who go to sample bowls of mixed wine.

Do not gaze at wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup,

when it goes down smoothly! In the end it bites like a snake

and poisons like a viper. Your eyes will see strange sights

and your mind imagine confusing things. prov 23:29,30"

  • Happy St. Paddy's Day!!! ♣ ♧

  • Damien Dempsey sings St Patrick's Day... a song with some meaning and Irish not this dribble

  • You've gotta remember that St. Patrick was a policeman. He didn't like Alcohol.

  • good times.

  • wow, this is really really bad, check out damien dempsey's st patrick's day for a proper tune

  • his head is going to fall off if he keeps that up

  • Love John Mayer. This song is great. Sounds great in surround

  • who else thinks this sounds shrill it may just be my laptop speakers but there is a lot of high frequencies flying around in this

  • the guitar here kinda sounds like harvest moon by neil young. good song!

  • ive gained respect for him because he speaks his mind.. haha

  • This is my FAVORITE John Mayer song out of every song...

  • I dunno... I love his music... But has anyone else lost a little bit of respect?

We all go through hard times, but it's hard to defend certain actions. I hope that he pulls it together. :)

  • I feel the same way. Actually my respect for him has diminished gradually over the years. I enjoyed his music much more when I knew less about him and didn't hear all of the stuff he spouts on Twitter, in interviews, etc. It's hard separating the music from the man (if that makes sense.)

  • I totally understand and agree. I wish I didn't know anything but the art when it comes to quite a few artists, performers, etc...

I still can respect the art, but the illusion of it is somewhat lesser because of the lack of ignorance.

  • I see a dichotomy of like two people. Almost a Dr. Jekyll-Mr. Hide type thing. On one hand there is the reflective-inciteful person that you kind of see in his music, and then there is the other side which is kind of a person that is super full of himself and thinks he can do anything

  • you have to realize that almost everything he does is a joke. If you take him seriously then you will never like him.

  • This song remind's me of someone, whose name i won't mention...good thing's come from good thought's. (wink ;-)

  • ahh thanks

  • Beautifully structured song. Who knew you could have so many chords and make them fit together and resolve eachother as if they were only meant for this song? When you first tackle learning this song on guitar, you nearly hate Mayer for being able to play it. You almost believe you need 8 inch fingers and a 10 inch thumb to play it. Keep working at it though, you'll get it.

  • True..I'm trying to play it right now and if you see on the video, his middlefinger is doing something that I cant do right now 0:26/0:27

    Thats the man!

  • @marc0488 That middle finger doesn't actually play a note I believe, it's just the way his finger stayed when he played that chord. I think so anyways.

  • Great song!!

Meanwhile, are they together after St. Patrick's day or only untill that day??

  • If you really would like to learn this song get familiar with Bossa Nova chords. The chords in this contain a lot of that.

  • @heyjudeee

or just go look up a tab and play it...there's at least one good one. oh and learn to use your thumb for bass notes...that's about it.

  • man this guy is my idol.

  • hahahahahaha his face is hilarious, good song though

  • best chord progression on this song.. very mellow ! good stuff

  • Yes...beautiful song...but so hard to play and sing!!!I've just learned "Who Says"...but it's hard too...what a guitarist John Mayer

  • I recently got this song down. But I used the Room For Squares tablature book. It has about 30 chords, its crazy.

  • Yeah it has a bunch of chords, but it does not have 30 chords when he plays life TRUST ME! Mayer always simplifies his songs alot when he plays life (and that might sound weird considering seeing some of his soloes and licks) but it probably only (only ...) has about 18-20 chords live

  • you mean all 36+ he uses, he's known what he's been doing

  • Any hardcore musicians out there want to hash out the theory behind these chord progressions with me?

  • @autumnalcity i'll take a look.

  • I've taken a bit of a look at them and they are intense. Some really impressive chord work.

  • @aznbballstar155

Yeah, some of it's pretty straightforward. For example, the beginning: starts with a simple E maj 7/9 chord then a G#7 dominant to the C#m11. But then WHAT is this next chord that resolves into the Amaj7??? Then it goes Am7.... then... the next two chords.... wtf

  • they are jazz progressions. john mayer is known for his jazz chords. just check a jazz song you will see what im talking about

  • Yeah, I understand that it's a jazz progression, LOL. I was wondering what the specific chord names were, so I could study the progression as a music theory exercise.

  • give me a minute ill write them down for you

  • If you know what you are talking about, then you, my friend, will be my hero.

  • i really do lol. studied this song last month lol. i know what your going through lol

  • Show me the chords! :-))))

  • verse: emajor9, emajor9 with c bass, cminor6, cminor7, bflatminor7flat5, amajor7, aminor9, eadd2 with g# bass, gmajor13. pre chorus: e7 with g# bass, amajor7, dmajor7 with f# bass, dmajor7 with g bass, gadd9. chorus: esus2, eadd9, bwith d# bass, d6, c#7, d#, f, f# minor7, e wi7th g# bass, e minor7, d with f# bass, asus2. bridge: aminor9, d9, gmajor7, g#7,

  • ill send the rest in a lil bit. lol

  • Okay. That'll keep me occupied for a while. I see a couple errors, though, in the analysis. The second chord which you've called "emajor 9 with c bass" is MUCH more accurately analyzed as a G#7 chord with the third (C) in the bass. It's the dominant 7 chord which resolves directly (V - I) to the C#minor. Does that make sense?

  • it really does lol. yea it actually does lol. thanks for the correction lol

  • Good deal. I thought it was what you had too until one day I realized, wait, these are all the same notes as G#7... just with the third in the bass. If you play a regular barre G#7 in that space instead of the inversion chord, it's almost an identical sound.

  • nice. i never even looked at it like that lol. shit thank you lol

  • Yup. Now that we've had like the nerdiest conversation ever, I'm going to go write a song. Haha.

  • power to the nerds lol. have fun man

  • @GravityStrat

Duuuuude. So, I've gone completely obsessive on analyzing this chord structure. I think the chord that you called the Bbm7b5... the one that resolves into the Amaj7... might actually be an F#9 chord with the third in the bass again... check it out. It fits with the walking bassline notes, and it's got all the same notes. I mean, the Bbm7b5 has the same notes too... it works there... but I think the chord function might be F#9. Let me know what you think.

  • ah... so it's that time of the year again.

    Here comes the cold.

  • John "Epic Thumb" Mayer.

  • Gracias John Mayer!

  • He's talented. Pity he's not playing with Steve Jordan here. I can't stand that stupid bobbysoxer singing and yelling though... damn!

  • I found all the chords but it was tabbed but very accurate. Then it took a week to put it all together. He uses thumb when convenient, it's not proper though.

  • the chord changes he uses just amaze me

  • it should be hard. it has like 36 chords. i know most of them but not all of them yet

  • I freaking love this album...

But that thing he does with his head is weird. I hate him so much, his voice is perfect, he plays beautiful guitar, and he probably gets all the chicks to the max.

  • fuck john mayer and his outrageously talented thumb, this songs hard to learn xD.

great song, one of my favorites.

  • so true.

his hand is so big that he can do anything he wants with his thumb, and i'm stuck with the index finger...

  • I love this guy... Idk why but the weather's day makes me think of this song... lol

  • ahhh one of my favorite songs by him :]] love him

  • can anybody post a link for the correct tabs of this song??

  • i doubt they're posted anywhere... besides maybe a john mayer book... hes too good for tab bloggers to get it right
