The second chord which you've called "emajor 9 with c bass" is MUCH more accurately analyzed as a G#7 chord with the third (C) in the bass. It's the dominant 7 chord which resolves directly (V - I) to the C#minor. Does that make sense?

I think the chord that you called the Bbm7b5... the one that resolves into the Amaj7... might actually be an F#9 chord with the third in the bass again... check it out. It fits with the walking bassline notes, and it's got all the same notes. I mean, the Bbm7b5 has the same notes too... it works there... but I think the chord function might be F#9.
