@gamingfurry14 I was not really commenting on how the gaming industry supports itself but more on how in my opinion THQ and other smaller companies make better games then EA just because they cannot sell off their brand name and large advertising campaigns, hence they put more thought into the development as they rely more on word-of-mouth-promotion.

@M2fiftycal that's a common issue in ALL computer games. It is propably a problem related to the software/hardware/drivers of these users. I have finished the game several times and I never had any issue. I had problems in other pc-games whereas other users did not. This is just the way it works. The solution would be to ask for help in the official forums and try to solve it by trial and error or buy an Xbox :)
Chaos is a stand alone expansion that will have content of Dawn Of war II but some of Dawn of war II content will be locked. Dawn of War II has been patched with Chaos Rising content but the Chaos Marines and campaign are locked.
EA buy the rights to a franchise, produce a meh game, if it sells they make a sequel that ruins the franchise and market it to kids *cough* command and conquer* (it was good, but ruined the essense of the game) THQ are good though

It would be fantastic if the choices you make could have an impact on any new upcoming expansions.
So if you choose to use Corruption, you will be able to play a Chaos campaign in a new expansion etc.

@ShukakuSleeps yeah, I am, but guess who isn't? Relic! They finally got back to us yesterday and said they still don't know what is causing so many people to crash and that basically they can't nail it down from the logs. The game is broke.

@ShukakuSleeps ok, if you got it then what's with the sarcasm? It's ok to post on here if the game is good, but not if it's broke? I disagree, but then again, attempting to figure people out on the internet is an excercise in frustration anyway, so we'll just go our seperate ways on that. I guess spending money on something that doesn't work isn't worth being upset about.

@ShukakuSleeps and as a side note, I got responses on the other posts from other people having this issue, and got them to bump the thread on the relic site. Relic got back to the us about the issue and told us they were working on it the very next day. If that's not a legitimate issue then what is? I'm not bitter I'm just trying to warn people.

@M2fiftycal that's a common issue in ALL computer games. It is propably a problem related to the software/hardware/drivers of these users. I have finished the game several times and I never had any issue. I had problems in other pc-games whereas other users did not. This is just the way it works. The solution would be to ask for help in the official forums and try to solve it by trial and error or buy an Xbox :)

Chaos is a stand alone expansion that will have content of Dawn Of war II but some of Dawn of war II content will be locked. Dawn of War II has been patched with Chaos Rising content but the Chaos Marines and campaign are locked.

EA buy the rights to a franchise, produce a meh game, if it sells they make a sequel that ruins the franchise and market it to kids *cough* command and conquer* (it was good, but ruined the essense of the game) THQ are good though

THQ is seriously amazing, EA can go suck it, they have grown too big and only produce games for quick profits. smaller companies are the ones making REAL games.

Yeah but not the way EA makes 'em. They release and leave it at that, the way they treat their customers you would guess they dont have qualified customer support and community managers.They fire employees working on projects anticipated by the public just so they can enter a new market with an unloyal fanbase (internet gaming). I can go on for a few more points, the point i try to get across is that companies like THQ rely on making quality goods, because they are such a small company,unlike EA

@ethicks00 Oh I don't know, maybe you should play some classics and see how they were made with everything the Devs had in their fingertips at the time, and see how oh-so good they were.
Also - Total Annihilation, DoW1 and the older C&C games before EA came into play, of course, they'd be called shit as you'd compare them to newer games.

@ethicks00 Of course they were, everyone signs up for a job to earn money, they also signed up because they were interested in what the signed up for, specifically, creating a good game with their talents. But what you said was that all the Developers ever did was create games for money, while I said that the only really good games came out of the Dev's passion for their creation, you on the other hand, seem to think that they didn't care at all and just wanted it to be over with and get money.

@ethicks00 i have to agree with u but at least THQ made a dawn of war 2 with the best graphics they change a lot of gaming style but they kept the concept unlike EA they literary screwed Command and conquer 4 Tiberium twilight they changed the whole gaming style they took out the best features from the older versions they basically took out the fun out of the game thats my point... No Offense to Any1 =)

@neogalahad please read the WHOLE comment, i didnt say "make profit" i said" quick profits" which means less for more. or in simple terms, they (EA) make many games quickly with underqualified staff, which they sell only for initial sales, and then quickly take them from the shelf. also, companies like thq cannot simply rely on their brand to automaticaly sell their produce, they rely on word-of-mouth so they have to make really good games to make their profits. accusation is not neccessary thnx
