  • I checked my msconfig and I don't have a "ready boost" listed and yet it's a new machine and windows 7. Anyone?

  • this is not xp, where is the program to use it on xp, it vista ehhhhhhhhhh

  • what program did you use to record this?

  • kan u do this in ubuntu

  • Readyboost dosn't turn a flash drive into ram. It stores superfetch and cache files into it.

  • he is right!!! its not ram, ram would shit on a flash, 40mb/s for flash, 110mb/s for good HD, and like 2000mb/s or more for ram. It caches the info in between HD and rest of computer but only small files like temp and dlls used for simple tasks like opening my computer

  • open and close programs basically use any an all programs you wanna speed up..then restart the computer and then do it one more time. by now everything should be cached or superfetch should be running great now.

to test it out load up one of your previously opened programs this should be the 3rd time using it and now get out your stopwatch and time it.then exit out right click the unplug device safely restart then try it with no flash drive connected. u should see a speed improvement

  • thanks for the help
