at the beginning, I had the same idea with u, Sun is the last guard, ball moves in forward direction, it should be an offside...

but we both missed one important fact, there is no offside when ppl and the ball started moving in their OWN half court....

we can clearly see that the ppl n the ball were still on their own half when the ball was passed to the right wing...

so no offside:)

for example, if the goalkeeper dribble the ball over the half way line, then pass it to a striker that's in offside position, pretty sure that's offside

it is pretty common that teams starts their attack in their own half, according to your theory, if a team runs back to their own half, then attack, then there will never be any offside?

it is an OFFSIDE. The forward is in offside position when the ball was passed to him from right wing side. There is ONLY one defender "SUN" was there. So it should be an OFFSIDE !

you need to be in line with the second last defender infront of goal the moment the ball is passed.

the goalie was out of net, and sun was the only defender. you can't have a forward pass there.

defender including goalie. in normal game scenario it looks like the last defender because hes always infront of the goalie. so actually hes usually the second last defender.

i am not explaining it very well but you can go online and look at official offside rules and it should say second last defender (goalie being one of them in normal circumstances)
