Two class acts together in a class act - they are great together, a beautiful medley. They both left the music scene way too early, there has been nothing to match them since then. God bless them both.
Bobbie Gentry was the good luck charm first guest onThe Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour, The Johnny Cash show and the Bobby Darin Amusement Company. Executives liked her so much they bumped the original first show with Debbie Reynolds and placed this, the actual second show, first. Bobbie had her own variety show on the B.B.C in the U.K, 1968-1971. She also did three variety specials for 20th Century Fox in the U.S market.
@danielrdrown She did Girl From Cincinatti on this show as well- her latest single release. She had alerted members of her fan club thru her monthly newsletter of its release date. I listened all day and...nothing. I met her that summer and mentioned it to her. She was obviously quite frustrated and said Capitol had delayed its release. I asked her why and she vented, "Oh I don't know- Capitol!"
They look like their going to take a bite out of each other! In fact I think they did at the end!
