  • how tall r u bro?

  • I don't even remember wtf I posted on this thread, BUT i lost about 50 LB and no loose skin (although I do have a minor stretch mark on my back ) , I went from about 205~ 210 to 160: Diet:

Oatmeal - Meat (mostly chicken) , Mixed Fruits in blender with Ice, apples , and loads of green tea... and random mixes of the above.... then one day a week I would pretty much eat whatever the hell I want / workout = lifting light weight (150 ~ 180lb) 2 times a week.... 40 lb dumbbells 180 ~ 200 lb bench etc

  • I would get the surgery to remove it. You are a young man, do it, make payments, whatever you need.

  • @watchmegetskinny How much did you weight before you lost the weight? Did you weigh train any while losing the weight too?

  • good job and congratulations on your weight loss and healthy lifestyle. I just had gastric bypass 4 months ago tomorrow and have some excess skin around my arms. Overall, I am happy because I am off most of my medication and surely am more healthy, so I I'll take the bat arms for health! Again congratulations!

  • Hi mate well done on weight lose, I have lost 150lbs myself and am in the same boat as far as my stomach arms and legs are concerned it blows. but you right about the compression garments there cheaper than surgery. Once again well done mate

  • I really need a shirt like yours because I have lots of access skin after my surgery. Can you please tell me where did you buy it from? I really need it.

  • Congrats. Did you lift weights along the way? This helps.

  • Where did you get that tight vest shirt from?

  • do you even lift?

  • Looks like a sad dogs face lmao

  • Will your insurance pay a portion of the skin removal surgery?

  • it looks like a puppy lol.

  • @wtffgigi SMH... LMAO

  • :<

  • this is lose skin ? or fat? common ,this is still fat.....

  • @WhiteMoonLights you are a dumbass. that is skin.

  • The problem with some ppl is they don't understand everyone's reason for being obese. Yes some is due to excessive eating but others is because of health factors (Hypothyroidism etc.)...so there comes a time that a person requires this surgery for the sake of their health.

  • forgive me please, I don't want to ask stupid questions; will the skin ever return tight naturally - I am over weight too and this skin thing scares me more then being as big as I am - congrats all or hard work and success

  • You should get surgery to take excess skin away.

  • Why do people do surgery just to end up like that?

All you have to do to lose weight nice and slow is

Do not drink soda, nature did not intend for your body to run on sugar alone for its main diet.

Eat bread pasta and carbs, but make it only like 10 - 15% of your diet.

Eat lots of meat and fruits.

Eat calories at about your body weight x 10, maybe a little less ie if your 200 lb = eat 1800 - 2000 calories, but never less than 1000 - 1500 or your body will save the food as fat for later use.

  • @NYzwolf Even when losing weight the "natural" way, people can still get badly loose skin. Don't criticize it.

  • @liono0686 yea if your like 400 lb over weight.

Most people are between 20 to 30 lb over, the skin is very elastic, if you lose 20 - 30 lb you can tighten up pretty well, lose the weigh, go to the beach and the sun will also help tighten up the skin.

If you have a ton of skin, just go lift weights and bulk up, fill that empty bag space with muscle.

1 hour a day devoted to weight lifting will take care of most of it.

Full body muscle mass increases will tighten the skin.

  • @NYzwolf Also think about it, if a pregnant woman can tighten up after birth, a fat guy can do the same.

This entire Obesity epidemic is caused by excessive sugar and carbs in our daily diets, also the way people eat, they work 9 to 5 and go home have a giant meal and pass out.

Stretch that one giant meal out throughout the day, have snack bars/fiber bars/teas etc.... instead of soda , candy bars and a mega bread and pasta bowl at the end of the day.

  • @NYzwolf Thank you for your expert opinion. Asshole.

  • losing weight quickly can result in excess skin. Before the weight was lost, the skin had grown and stretched to accompany the excess fat. Quick weight loss shortens the time the skin has to readjust, and shrink. Perfectly normal

  • hi there, are you considering having tummy tuck?

  • just adjust your eating goddamned surgery roflmao hopeless

  • well done with losing the weight, dont listen to the nobheads who are posting negative comments, you have done great and you have probably added an extra 20 years to your life, and feel and are a hell of a lot healthier... well done again x

  • no offense but check his body at 0:16 looks like a dog's face :D i'd rather do the long term diet exercise than having a surgery that will ended up like this.

  • @yhou24 Yea like a pitbull no offense it just does. I'd rather walk and lose weight a little every month. Just have to cut back on eating habits. Have self control.

  • @Smileyyy21 thats a great idea..slowly but surely..unlike going to a surgery that will lead you to a loose skin.and also a waste of money.

  • @yhou24That's right and still more money to fix the loose skin. It's not worth it in my opinion. I have heard of people even using girdles to hide it. It's not suppouse to feel that way your suppouse to feel comftarble and free in your own skin.Yourbody will lose weight if you make the effort and just not eat as much.Your stomach will get smaller as you continue to eat less. Also try to eat your favorite veggies and fruits ar least one time a week. They help to keep you full.

  • @Smileyyy21 yeah..all you have to do is to take a healthy diet progams, and a lot of exercise everyday..its hard but if you are highly motivated, using the natural process you'll see the results! unlike seeing a loose skin that still needs a lots of money.and also you feel relieve and satisfied because you accomplished something using the longterm method, not like taking the short term method that will ended in hiding some of the loose skin. (peace Y^.^Y)

  • where can i get thos shirts?

  • Your awesome :)

  • Avoid surgery!! quick weight loss= skin folds - Slow weight loss = good skin tone.

Have you guys not notice how this only happens to people who lose weight quickly?

  • you and i could be skin twins - 360 to 190 in twelve months, and still dropping fat, starting to bodybuild so not focusing on the scale too much anymore. I'm ordering a few of those garments. what is your height if I may ask? I'm 6'

  • Thank you so much for your candor and education you are providing for those of us who are considering wls, I know I greatly appreciate it.

  • does it go away?

  • @kaylaa406

Nope, not unless you have surgery. But I would think its better than before.

  • i need that vest qucik!

  • Thank you for showing this. I know it can be hard for some people but I am considering bariatric surgery and it is important to see this. One of the things I am worried about is the excess skin.

  • wats ur advise for me .. i will have my surgery this year i guess

  • hello were did you get that white shirt from 2 hold you in?

  • que asco!

  • I am having Gastric bypass surgery and I am documenting it. If anyone is considering it and wants to watch the process feel free to subscribe and watch what happens with me. I tell it all and even talk about really good information including a support system. Let's see if I get a lot of extra skin.

  • Comment removed

  • is there a way to get rid of the skin?.........my father just got this surgery about 2 days ago

  • @tache426 Workout workout workout is the only way to get rid of some of the skin, or another operation. I'll be doing a gastric bypass next year and im about to start to train 1-2 months before just to try to minimize the skin.

  • Sometimes I feel like I'm so ugly from c sections. I feel better knowing someone out there understands. I'm a great person but am judged when I let my guard down. I stay out of relationships. Much easier.

  • Nice Puppy Dog!

  • will the excess skin ever go away?

  • @MrJahka Some is naturally reabsorbed(age also counts), but for a loss like presented in this vid the answer is no.

  • Awesome man! I am 4 months post op and just bought 3 of the compression shirts. I can't wait until they get here! I've dropped 62 so far and hope to be close to 130 down before September because I'm heading back home to see family who have no clue that I've had this surgery! Should be a great surprise!!!

  • what size is the vest?

  • @tellotoc1 If you are looking for a vest or a t-shirt. I can help you out with compression garments for post surgery of any type. My phone no is 805-236-0622 My garments are called bon body fajas and I have been manufacturing garments for over 2 years, but I have been selling many brands for over 6 years. I am familiar with Ardyss, Bodyline, Ann Michelle, Slender Touch, Squeem and many others. I can give you the pros and cons on all of them. Mary @ 805-236-0622

  • great vid man I had a gbp as well & hate the lose skin but hey i'll deal with it since it's better than when I was obese haha

  • do they have one for excess arm skin after weight loss? i didn't have the bypass, but i did have the sleeve done. i have lost 80 pounds so far and would love the shirt, but really need it for the arms.

  • @armywife2248 I am a manufacturer of compression garments and yes their is a garment that is specific to tightening your loose skin. My products are manuf. in Oxnard, Ca and are one of the best materials for these garments. Call me at 805-236-0622 if you have any questions. My name is Mary

  • Good for you!!!! Wear it with pride!!

  • what happen to the skin why its lose?

  • @KaYzEeTUBE I lost 180 pounds.

  • @KaYzEeTUBE when you lose alot of weight too quick it will be excess skin

  • @KaYzEeTUBE cause the fat that used to fill it is no longer there and its like an empty sack (no offence to watch me get skinny)

  • @KaYzEeTUBE what comes after a and b?

  • @KaYzEeTUBE all the weight is gone but the fat is still there

  • another great video, i'm going to order one and see how it goes, i just had the surgery 2 weeks ago and anything to help with the skin would be a benefit

  • I wonder if they make those compression shirts but for women. I mean, it'd be nice to have one to deal with all the extra skin but without, er, crushing, other things.

  • I am thankful to you and your effort of explaining every thing related to post surgery.

    I have a question:

Does the excess skin will be removed with sport and training by time or by surgery only?

    Thanks

  • if you put it on feet first its a lot easier...

  • That shirt is amazing!

  • the body looks more "normal" with the shirt thing on. thanks for sharing

  • You can actually have this skin surgically removed (you probably know that) two different ways: private pay by a platic surgeon OR if you have problems with chafing and specifically problems with fungal infections under skin folds (medical term intertrigo) often becomes chronic and then insurance will cover. FYI.

  • Great Video! Can I share this on my fb page?

  • looks like a sad puppy dog when he is facing the camera

  • @DylanTh3Villian I agree it does look like a sad dog

  • Question, are you over 45 years old? Grats on losing the weight! I hope I'm as successful as you after I get my surgery!

  • Good thing I just bought one! :D

Although, I don't have extra skin, I am just fat. So I don't expect as good of results as here. I just expect some smoothing out. :3

  • I had bypass last July and am. Excess skin is a bit of a problem. What an amazing difference with the shirt. Do you know if they have something for women? I checked out the site.... but found the shirt 993 only for men. As for the 'very expensive poster' this is not an expensive garment, under $30. good deal!

  • wow that shirt rocks...that a very big diff. thanks so much for posting this. i cant wait to get my surgery done.

  • thank you so much for this video :) i just found out i have a surgical hernia from having open gastric bypass and was told to get a support for it and this website is great!!!!!!!!!

  • Hi, I think you look great and don't let people ever bring you down. ;) stay positive

  • AJ I'm having the same problem extra skin

  • extremely expensive!

  • Hey AJ. Thanks for the info on the compression shirt. I'm 9 weeks post-op and have lost 74 lbs and am worried about the excess skin (though I'd much rather have excess skin than be at my pre-op size). I have been wearing a compression shirt for a week now and will continue to wear one throughout my journey to see if it helps with the loose skin. As always, thanks for your honesty and all the information in your videos. They have made this much easier. Hopefully I'll have a video up soon.

  • AJ I want to thank you for all you doing I'm still waiting for my op and I really appreciate your honesty and will to help others

    God bless you

  • I love that they have products like that for guys too!! Cool thanks for sharing. I learned something new!

  • I didnt have a bypass, but my loose skin problems are similar to yours after losing 125 over the course of 2.5 years.

  • visit this site and order the compression shirt.. or wait until i get some new products, i will be making another video showing my review on the products they are sending me. :) works wonders.. as you can see!

  • @watchmegetskinny does this every go away? I mean does you skin ever...now excuse my stupidity here....."unstrectch?"

  • Congrats on the weightloss..That compression shirt is amazing. I'm considering Lapband surgery and am concerned about excess skin after 100lbs lost..Not sure if cosmetic surgery will be an option. I'm telling you, that thing makes a huge difference!!

  • Cool... thanks for sharing.. I didn't know anything like this was out there! I know I'll need it in the near future!

  • Thank you so much for this! I know at some point down the road I will be needing something like this.

  • God bless you ur bravery to put out the things you do to help people on the same journey is amazing to me love ur vids:)

  • What a brave person. Thanks for the idea of a compress garment. After a loo pound weight loss and 6 oregnancies this will be great. congrats on the weight loss and I see a noticeable diffrence with the shirtcongrats

  • Thanks AJ - not just for your honesty, but hooking us all up with a possible solution until we can do something surgically! So appreciate you, your family, your videos, and your support! Muah!

  • GREAT video!. I have followed you since I was pre-op in August 2009. Skin was something I was concerned with, but not enough to stop me from having the surgery. I know that this video will beneficial to so many people.

Your weight loss journey videos were extremely beneficial to me, as is this video. Thank you for what you have done.

  • you are so awesome for doing this AJ i'm really proud of you. I know you were nervous but dont you're helping a lot of people out. and if it helps you i'll show mine off too i've already been thinking of it

  • A.J.-thats amazing!! You can't even tell with your shirt on! You would never know!:)

  • Thanks so much for sharing and baring! I know it's not easy, but so helpful to the rest of us going through this a few months or a year behind you.

    You are an inspiration!

  • Very, very brave

come summer time i think i will be as brave : )

  • I have the skin too!!! I go to the surgeon in March!

  • Thanks for sharing this. It is something I may need in the future.

How much support does it give you when you run?

  • I am considering a skin video, too. I also wear a compression garmet.

  • Hey AJ!

GREAT video, I will be getting this shirt asap. How do you figure out sizing though, if I wear a xl shirt what size compression shirt do I get? Do I get a size smaller for the compression? Let me know, thanks :) You look AMAZING!

I just hit my 1 year anniversary yesterday and am down 165 as well. Have you ever thought about a tummy tuck? TTYL :)

  • Thank you for sharing this product! I will definitely have to share it with my finance who has had lap-band surgery. I think it does make a significant difference! Congrats on all of your accomplishments! :D

  • way cool! never seen one of those compression shirts!

  • WTG AJ! always so informative and helpful! you look terrific, compressed or not!

    congrats!

    A

  • your skin doesn't look bad at all! I like that compression shirt especially that it's so long and your able to pull it past the lower abs and it still doesn't look like it's going to roll up. I'm going to go check it out :)

  • you look great! compression shirt will be a must for me! but being a woman, i'll be stuffing some things...lol

  • wow! such an amazing accomplishment! there is a slight different with the compression shirt. but what is really important is how you feel. you look great either way, but i think you should do whatever makes your more comfortable & confident.

    congrats!

  • Thank u so much for doing that for us! You look fabulous, congratulations!

  • Thank you for sharing!

  • my boyfriend has the same amount of skin. he's 6'8 and loss 257 lbs 6 years ago after RNY. cool shirt! i will look into getting my bf one of them. you look just fine without the compression shirt, but even better with it on. either way you are just fine. i just made this video a favorite and will use the promo info to get my bf one. i wonder what size to get him. i bet the website will help me. you cut your head off. i did my "dare to bare" video hoping my head would be cut off. lol.

  • Wow what a difference. Thanks for showing us what alot of us have been curious about... what do we do with our excess skin? I have already looked and I think I am shopping thanks again AJ!

    Ruth

  • AJ - thanks for this. I agree, you are brave to show the skin. I think there is a definite difference with the shirt. Especially because it makes you feel better.

  • AJ that took courage. You are such an inspiration for all. You look fabulous!!! Shannon

  • honestly i think you lok great but the important thing is you feel great ! but that comprestion shirt did do a awesome job

    Marquita

  • Five stars for you! Way to go, A.J.! Hugs, Cami

  • Hey hey hey...Great Video! Tis truth about what happens to us when we have reached goal! I wonder if they make those things for women...I will definitely need one~~

  • AJ loved the video. It was very brave of you to show the extra skin. I did one of these videos too and was hesitant to post it but I wanted to be honest w/ my subscribers and show it all. Thats a great garment and boy does it make a difference. Thanx again for sharing w/ us.

  • AJ, you look FANATASTIC! Great weighloss!!

  • Way to go A.J. good video... I started in a large size, and have moved down to a medium. I think before I'm done I'll be in a small. It makes a hell of a difference doesn't it?

  • Great video AJ. That's a great undergarment!!!thanks for sharing!!

  • Aj,

As you know i have showed skin, it takes alot of courage to do so, I wish my extra skin looks as good as yours, it looked alot like your untill I got pregnant, now I just look like I have fat, some extra skin and preggo belly...Thanks for all you do. And for showing, I wonder how it would work after i had the baby and if this would work for me, i know its a mans but I dont care if it make my boobs flat lol..Just so I dont feel like I am hanging everywhere. Bless ya! Your amazing Kristy

  • I'll take that and raise you some skin lol...I really should look into one of those shirts because it would make a difference on me too.I know what you meant that you notice the difference...even if noone else does...It just feels better for "things" to be in place if that makes sense. Bravo!

  • Looks like it does a great job. I would be curious but sceptical if it would of made a huge difference if you wore it from the beginning. Who knows. You do look great and thanks a lor for sharing. 5 stars for AJ

  • You are very brave - I don't think I'll ever have the guts - but this helps so many people out there. You look awesome BTW.

  • Great video AJ, one concern I guess I would have about a compression garment (I guess they're different for men & women... not sure) - is what about when you're losing the weight? like since you'll be getting smaller, (I say you meaning anyone - during the process) - your size will get smaller - meaning you'll need a smaller garment, or did you just wait until you reached this size you're at to buy the garment? I see what you mean by it being more comfortable... thanks for putting this out there

  • the guy who designed this garment stands behind his claim that if this shirt is worn throughout the rapid weight loss stage the excess skin would be "little to none" because it will force your body to adjust as you shed the weight... I WISH I would have known that 20 months ago! :) you would have to buy the different sizes as you shrunk tho. But would be worth every penny to eliminate the skin as you are shrinking...

  • Thanks for your response! I'll have to check out the website... I hope they would at least last through a few sizes lol.... otherwise it could get quite expensive - but I can see how it'd be worth it.. :-)

  • Hey, I wouldn't normally say anything about someone's product and I do think the garments are GREAT but I don't want you to think you missed out on something. I know many people that have worn them all through their weight loss and they did not stop loose skin. Again I think they are awesome, make you feel better, look better etc but I am nearly 9 years out and I just don't want you to feel badly over something that wouldn't have changed the skin. You're doing so great!!

  • @watchmegetskinny

I had a bypass and have lost around 140 pounds in about 15 months, I would like to believe his claim about the shirt but cannot really see how it could possibly work to prevent the excess skin. My way to fight the loose skin problem is to join a gym and try and develop the abs, arms and legs as much as possible coupled with plenty of hydration and also using a cream on the loose skin areas. The bypass is an amazing help to weight loss but we all know there is a price to pay.

  • @watchmegetskinny

What name brand shirt is this?

  • Brave man :) Good for you for doing this! That shirt is amazing.

  • wow thankks for the video

  • Thanks you're a great guy to show this. Dont mind the haters out there, like you said on your intro, if they dont understand you, they're probably miserable immature people to begin with. So thank you, im going to be having gastric bypass in about 2 months....I am prepared for the excess skin. It wasnt so bad seeing you. I think it will be a shock for my hubby, but when I was younger I had exceess skin to play with so no shocker here. You are doing us an incredible favor. You look so amazing!!

  • Thats great AJ that you put this out there for everyone. I know women have tons of undergarments and things but I never new about the guys stuff. Excellent video :)

  • I still have to lose about 75-80 pounds and I dont want to have lose skin. From other pictures that I have seen from others that have lost alot of weight and had lose skin they still had alot of fat under the lose skin, then they go for surgery and it still looks bad, yours does not and if you had the surgery you I think would look great. Congrats on the 165 weight lose I think thats great.

  • I know you've helped alot of people just by showing off your stomach and the extra skin. I have never done the GB and probably never will since I can get control of my laziness and just start eating right and exercising. In fact I have decided to start running and will be going to do that today for the first time since I was thin. Do you think you will ever get a tummy tuck? Congrats..I know you must feel better with all that weight gone now. You and Becky are great role models for Cory!

  • thanks for making this video im almost certain im going to have excess skin. so thanks for making this video

  • aj. i just heard the parkland hospital in dallas ..known for having a great burn unit.. is offering to do tummy tucks for ppl free...free...so they can use the skin. give um a call.

  • Thanks for sharing AJ. I think it's aweseome when people in the WLS community can shed some positave light on the extra skin. Thanks for showing the shirts also...A very good thing to keep in mind as we all loose our weight.

  • Larry done a video like yours.. And to be honest with you I rather have excess skin & my health anyday over having to carry around the weight & failing health.. Bravo AJ for doing this video..Now I'm researching spanx.. Take care of you & yours wishing you all a Happy New Year ..Keep safe...

  • wow! these shirts are awesome! and it seems like they breath really easily!

  • oh, ur right AJ, your extra skin ISN'T that bad! I wouldn't mind getting one of those shirts for myself. I wonder if they make them for girls? LOL I have the spanx, and that helps with jeans, but I feel like i need something "extra" at the top, for my side skin. LOL I dont think I'll EVER be as brave as you and show my skin. LOL But we'll see. Only time will tell. LOL

  • @SarahWillBeSkinny ... hey I have been researching undergarments for awhile.. target and walmart even have some great and inexpensive tank top like things.. also long shorts that go from right under your chest to the mid to lower thigh. I love those. They dont leave a line on my thigh and have a gripper material so they don't slide. They make everything nice and smooth.

  • Those shirts work well and you look great skin or not

  • Your skin's not so bad.

Thanks so much for sharing the shirt with us, I'll definitely be getting a couple of those.

    Take care!
