  • love the drummer!!

  • 14 people need to hit the spoonman!

  • OWNAGE

  • shiittt!!! so fucking good man..!!!

  • The fucking man!

  • Age and Time Can't Slow Cornell Down

This Man Has The Best Scream

Even Age And Time respect that and bow down to that

  • this is pure greatness spoon man version live!

  • CornellsGarage my m.s.n is my profile baybe!

  • Song written by Jeff Ament of Pearl Jam I believe...

  • @PressStudio Only the title. The song was written by Chris.

  • The part where Chris puts his hand up and walks over to the basist is too cool.

As if he says "Listen, Do you fucking hear that!" Yep, I agree pretty cool..

  • Chris + ordinary players >>>> Tad + rest of SG

    atleast for spoonman!!!!

  • Not bad

  • Why are you even debating/arguing about chris's vocals. Seriously. He is one of the greatest vocalists the world's ever had. Period. Soundgarden is just too damn great for words. They wrote some of the most kickass tracks that are timeless and Cornell is so badass. His vocals were and are insane, over and out.

  • I'm really growing to like this song, and other Soundgarden songs. I love Chris's music, whether it's SG, Audioslave, or his solo stuff! Next..Temple of the dog!

  • totally random, but the title of this song reminds me of Nightman and Dayman, from It's Sunny.

  • That was brilliant, the live version sounds better than the studio version, and those two guitarists did a great job.

  • Dave Grohl and Chris Cornell awwwwwwwwwwww yaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Well it sure looks like Dave.

  • chris cornell is a fuckin beast

  • Why do people expect CC to sing his songs exactly the same all the time, and if he doesn't then their terrible. This was great; besides how boring, especially for Chris. I'm glad he's still singing most of the songs throughout his career. WickedKlown---thanks, but no thanks for sharing!!!

  • is dave grohl drumming on this? I know this concert was at the Showbox in Seattle... If not, the drummer is his doppelganger.

  • Comment removed

  • Another song perfectly sung from this MSN show. AMAZING!!!!! WOWW, I would have loved to have been there!

  • Drummer still gots it :}

And the drummer also tore that solo up :)

  • god. chris cornell has such an amazing voice!!!

  • how can you ruin your own song? thats what i dont get....go back to pumpin gas dude seriously HOW COULD YOU FUCK UP UR OWN SONG?!?!.....w/e

  • UNNECESSARY NEGATIVITY my friend.........can you sing as good as Cornell sings on a his worst day of singing???(rhetorical question...answer not needed)

  • @TheWickedKlown1 I hate to sound like you, but what an EFFING IDIOT!!!!

  • Kinda...well bad.

  • His backup band sucks, thanks god soundgarden is back together.

  • Wow! Anyone know what vocal processors he uses during this MSN concert?

  • the drumming rapes in this song

  • @Surewinner93, because that is what a live performance is all about... improv... and more. Personally I think this is the best live version outside of the live versions w/SG.

  • think hes a real good singer but why does she change it so much when he sings live, just sing it like u did in the studio version

  • This crowd sucks.

  • he uses his falshetto now because he can, he couldnt during audioslave or after it, it was masked with grit, but now hes losing his chest voice for belting, atleast he can sing now though, falshetto and all

  • @easyeasy007

exactly when the fuck does he jump into falshetto in this song, ever? do you even know what falshetto is?

  • Cornell a one hit wonder? Yur on crack djack

  • @djackedinc one hit wonder? sounds like you had a one hit wonder encounter with some bad smoke bruh... Cornell period > you

  • His voice has no problem. He damaged his vocal cords on Soundgarden's Superunknown tour, and now he uses a technique so he doesn't damage his vocal cords even more. I forgot what it's called though, anyway, that's the reason his voice is different. But he's doing a good vocal job, and obviously is one of the greatest vocalists of ALL TIME. Soundgarden reunion, 2010!

  • @FunnyStuffThere its because he sings his songs now, instead of screaming, or using falshetto to imitate higher notes, he has also regained the use of his falshetto and doesnt scream hardly anymore..its a careful process , you tube cornell ticket to ride, hes been waiting awhile to do that

  • chris cornell is awesome, and soundgarden is back again, we have a great decade of music coming again, 2000's decade failed for the most part musically, 2010's or teens lets get back to rock!

  • man ive been thinking that too (Y)

  • @Jmeasy89 I HOPE SO !!!!!

  • @Jmeasy89 i beg to differ...the 2000s brought us Foo Fighters, Linkin Park, Alter Bridge, and more...but still im stoked about soundgarden, too

  • @Jmeasy89 Pop music from the 2000-2010 decade has sucked, but there have been some very good bands too.

  • that dude was totally crapping all over matt camerons drum solo. im glad soundgarden is reuniting. so matt can show them how to really do it.

  • If your a fan, your a fan! I happen to LOVE his voice! He is so talented! If you don't like the way he sings, don't listen! But its your loss! I could listen all day to him scream and its sounds heavenly!

  • And exactly how is that? Because he made music you didn't like? Boo-fucking-hoo, grow the hell up.

  • I think you guys are crazy. He sounds awesome!

  • Chris doesent deserve to be "Pick-apart! like that ,IT HURT's musicians LIKE for example YOU ARE LOOKIN AT A FULL PRO-FOOTBALL SCOLARSHIP THEN YOU BUST UP YOUR KNEE-CAP! Its all over and you can play like you did before!!!

  • in '99 I was 22 years old "singing high 'G notes FULL-THROATED not falsetto ! NOW I'm 43 " any HUMAN who was ever" Athletic " will tell you that the HUMAN body CHANGES WITH AGE ! i listen to all my old songs and screaming like Janis Joplin and Ronnie Jame Dio ! got Kinda "Corny" BUT now my Voice is matured and "Roubust" and Warm " on a good day I can sing the last part of "Say Hello to Heaven "(even Chris run's out of air attemping the high "G BUT still phrase 's in KEY in decending) LET HIM BE!

  • My respects for my idol Chris Cornell, but this cover is a mess in vocals..

  • Wheres your ears? hes hitting the notes fine. and his voice has not lost its range yet, check out the his recent concerts, it all checks out , amazing cover of immigrant song too !

  • ive heard cornell mentioning that if somebody came to him with an idea from an old band he would consider musical collaboration, whether or not it is legitimately possible like it seemed Never possible until recently with his very obvious interest in older songs"watch all his 2009 videos,..i think hes bored with scream and re-locating himself"...

  • We can only hope so...

  • this drummer is intense dude.

  • If you think this guy's good, you shoulda heard Matt from Soundgarden. With the exception of maybe Smashing Pumpkins and Tool's first album, Soundgarden was the best drumming on the radio in the early 90s.

  • possible and hopeful reunion tour Summer 2010! cornell said its possible, he's never ruled it out. i hope to god they do!!!!!!!

  • why 2010,...i got what i typed from a very very recent radio interview where he spoke about possibilities like he never has before, not incredibly so, but more loosely than usual.. which seemed Really something..whered you find your info..lol??

  • its been rumors on a radio station i listen to...but, more positive news is that at a recent pearl jam concert they had a Temply of the Dog reunion, and actually had ALL soundgarden members, including cornell, playing. So it looks to be positive as long as he stays happy hah

  • una delle migliori interpretazioni di spoonman da solista

  • he penetrated the song..

  • god damn echo

  • i know rite

  • fuck yes! he sounds like he did 12 years ago live!

  • muito foda..... o negocio é louco mesmo =]

  • I like the fact that kids today are getting to here some good old Soundgarden music.

Also, man does Cornell make it look easy!!!

The high Pitch vocals are spot on all after 16 years since the original.

    Damn He's still got it!!

  • pick up his soloalbums theyre great

  • his solo band reet

  • pfft i love CHris, but this band cmon man. :S wtf is dis? lol Audioslave wanna be dudes?

  • i diagree ..i think the guitar work especially...was pretty good...nothing compairing to original soundgarden of course....not even cornell's own vocals...but all in all pretty damn good

  • i disagree as well, the work from the band is garbage. this is supposed to be kick ass song, how do u find the guitar work cool? this is like karaoke to me. it sounds so bad :S

  • i heard it i like it ...to each as own.....and really (to me) cornell compaired to himself sounded karaoke here....but every time its different... good days, bad days...but he still fucking rocks either way

  • it feels like Cornell has lost some of the enrgy he had when he was with soundgarden

  • Hey, rocking for 20y+ has to take a note on you. And well, he never had any voice technique or something to just keep yellin' like in the 90s. I think that's the worst part of it.

  • well, he is a lot older.

    it's only expected...

  • Saw them Live yesterday in Copenhagen and the backing band was fantastic!

  • these pussies can never play it as good as audioslave. it looks like he hired fall out boy to be his new backing band. I love chris but he has made some dumbass moves in the last couple of years...

  • you do know that this song isnt from audioslave? but yeah I agree.

  • yea, i'm just putting it in perspective. Audioslave was just that good. If you watch a soundgarden version, you'll realize that audioslave played it better than they did...

  • Wrong

  • Musically I say let Chris do whatever he fucking wants. If Chris does it, it's awesome, hands down. Professionally, however, hiring that piece-of-crap band was regrettable.

  • The only dumbass move he made was working with Timbaland.

  • everyone is always commenting on how is voice isnt the same and how hes not good live anymore..i saw him live 5 times and it was fuckin AMAZING..ive seen videos on youtube that i was actually at and it is NO comparison to actually being there

  • True...t mix

  • jump around you dumbass crowd, its spoonman for fuck sake!

  • lol!

  • God knows I would be.

  • Fuck Yea

  • @prophets77 THANKS man! I couldn't agree more! Throwing the horns up!

  • When was this? 2007? Like after audioslave yeah?

  • Not sure but it is after Audioslave anyway

  • If it ain't broke don't fix it.

  • wow.......why don't dudes sing like this anymore? It's froggin bullfish i tell ya! Be gone with the highschool sounding vocals and let us go back to the good ol' days of soulful singing!

  • FuckYEAH!

  • cuz if everyone sang like chris cornell, there would be no such thing as a bad singer. and everyone knows that there has to be an opposite of something in the world. take that Jonas Bros.

  • I don't really like how his voice is now. Up until Audioslave's Out Of Exile his voice was extremely good. He has limited range because his voice breaks up and gets really raspy now.

  • @mrchrisbarretto Cuz you need an efx unit. and some autotune. I Still love this song even though cornell can no longer sing it without cheating.

  • @thehornypuppy - Without cheating? Dude Cornell cheating? Apparently you didn't hear him sing recently at Showbox... He has changed his vocal style slightly to save his voice but he doesn't TPAIN it or cheat and he can still all the octaves with no problem. His voice is still awesome brah...

  • @Goliath50 Dude...listen to the voice...i mean really LISTEN to it. You can hear layers of EFX on it. That Reverb ain't natural. Not with that many people inside the place and it CHANGES the depth and time in certain parts. I love Cornell...but lets not kid ourselves. And you can listen the guy doing the chorus has no reverb and delay at all..that's another pointer.

  • hes so good XD

  • scream sucks! Cornell gave up a sucessful business model to go for the getto market very foolish!

  • That is the whole point. Hes pushing the boundaries, taking himself out of his comfort zone and trying something different...The man should be saluted for having the balls to make a big gamble like that, i personally think Part of me is a good song and am looking forward to hearing the rest of the album

  • exactly, and some of it is not even that differant to what he has done before, for example two drinks minimum is just like the bluesy stuff from carry on

  • Think how long ago that was though, anyone who can still scream like he used to, and live every time is a fucking god. He's only human after all give the guy a break :P lol

  • ayemen

  • His backing band doesn't get the credit they deserve. They rock!

  • not many people like that he teamed with tim but it will be interesting to see if he stays with him or does something with someone else and what that comes out like.

  • Who's Tim?

  • Timbaland, he teamed up with him.

  • Oh ok, yeah I have the new album its different.

  • it's pretty good. you just have to keep an onpen mind at first.

  • thank you! thats what i think. i love the lyrics, the electronic is actually good, if you listen closely

  • screaming on key............i love that

  • who's the drummer of cornell now/???

  • Not bad......like the way Cornell uses his voice.....nice!

  • this song is not the same without Matt Cameron

  • This song should go down in history as one of the greatest pieces of art ever!

I mean, how artistic do you have to be to create something like this!? And singing it like Chris does is just unbelievable!

  • gnr sucks live right now

  • Beast Drum Solo and bass

  • 'sssaaaaaaavvve maaaaaaay' gotta love the way he sings that here.

  • dude does anybody notice chris's voice? he sounds like a punk frank sinatra. its wierd to me

  • of course its diffrerent, Cornell is not even playing the guitar, the riffs still need S.G sound.

  • This song without Matt Cameron, Kim Thayil and Ben Sheperd isn't the same.

  • for all the spoon burners out der hahaha

  • Chris >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Eddie

  • i haven't studied singing myself, but it's obvious that if you're talking about what each of them can actually do, cornell's range greatly outdoes vedder's. he can hit those crazy-high/loud soprano notes or whatever they're called and also do everything that vedder does though he still sounds very different from him then. he's a TECHNICALLY better singer. whether or not he's "better" overall is a matter of opinion. no need to get pissy.

  • It's not that one is better than the other, but Vedder is a Baritone (lower male voice) and Cornell is a tenor (high male voice).

  • lunga vita al grunge e lunga vita a chris.perdasdefogu like a stone

  • vedder is one of those singers whose voice doesn't seem to change at all over time. in all fairness though, while vedder is really good at his style of singing, it is not at the same technical level as some of what cornell does. it's more difficult to maintain that for many years.

  • vedder is a hack.

  • Oh God i would love to watch a concert with Soundgarden, I was only a child when they ruled the 90'. Instead, we are to watch Cornell play music with.. Timberland. What the hell went happened here?

  • It's true. I smoke and sing and that shit will take a toll...

  • he was probably the best singer of that era... eddie vedder's voice box has edge superiorly to cornell's

  • He's older so his vocal chords have changed. But still sounds good.

  • Great performance!! But i miss Soundgarden so much :(

  • his voice sounds improved compared to three years ago. if you think this was bad, look for audioslave playing outshined in cuba

  • yo is it just me or does he got dave grohl on the drums back there? maybe im trippin, i dunno

  • yea mayb yo

  • hehe, nah, that guy is a bit too 'thick' to be dave grohl

  • that would be awesome.

  • It's a guy called Jack, if I remember correctly...

Went to see him when they came to Iceland, and he was always shouting the band's name..

But I'm 100% sure, that it's not Dave Grohl

  • its jason sutter.

  • Matt Cameron Is Way better, this guy just looks like a fag, lol

  • naaah, Matt is great drummer, but after this show you can's say that guy is much worst... Solo kicks ass

  • @ YoungKaz:

If he pulled an Axl or a Scott, he wouldn't be Chris Cornell. He's always been more reserved than them, plus he's a better singer. :P Besides, he looked way more exciting when he was holding a guitar with Soundgarden.

  • hellz ya man!!

  • why people can't write music like that today?!

  • Oh they can, but the question is..."Why can't people who write music like that get SIGNED today?"

I'll tell you why...they're signing Miley Cyrus and bringing NKOTB back. I mean, where's an Earth--decimating plague when you really, REALLY need it?

  • Fuck yeah... But they won't come back, and it's even better. Let's just leave legacy of Soundgarden as it is, without any unnecessary returns and making shitty music for mainstream... Just like Cornell will do now with Timbaland. It would be nice to see Cornell and rest reunited, but maybe for one gig... just to feed yout mind with their genius. Nothin' more...

  • AC/DC will be back in a week...then your question will be answered!

  • good god Cornell's voice is brilliant! I miss soundgarden!

  • this is a really good live vocal vid from chris cornell. sometimes he sounds like he's a little off live, more often when he was with audioslave. but he's sick here.
