  • Love to lick every pair!

  • zomg y so many! lol

  • I have a question, i shined my AFJROTC parade shoes using your method and they are really shiny but every time i wear them the polish starts to crack off, is there a way to stop that or do i have to do it every week for inspection?

  • @iEnjoi4Life Go to a military college and you will be polishing your shoes every day

  • @iEnjoi4Life

It shouldn't crack off. Cracking is because either the wax has dried (okay) or the leather has dried (not okay). This is caused by using the lighter. Try putting as many very very thin coats on as you can. After that, you won't have to shine them again for a couple months, unless you scuff 'em. All that you'll have to do is take a microfiber cloth or a shine sponge (none of that silicon crap in it, though) and wipe it over the shoes.

  • @bnctaj Actually, you should put a layer on after every time you wear them. You replace the layers that naturally are moved off with regular wear.

  • @USAFFuturePilot

What would I know about polishing shoes? *rolls eyes*

A good shine will last at least 2-3 days of full wear - marching across parade decks, going to class, and tripping up three flights of stairs with your chin in, shoulders and forehead back, and arms pinned to your sides, pushing innumerable push ups, etc.

For inspection-only shoes, one good shine will last several months with the occasional buffing.

  • @bnctaj Why ever have a dull moment? All the kids I know don't polish everyday and the boots are dulled down in 3 hours.

  • THER IS NO RULE!!!!

just because your HIGH SCHOOL J.R.O.T.C unit has that opinion it doesn't apply to the rest of us. Active duty honor guards use this method, but if your unit says they cant i'm sure the active duty military HG's would be more then willing to stop cuss you guys make the rules right?

  • wow really mine are better and i didnt cheat

  • Cody, bite me

  • @Cody00911 whats the cheating part ? i wanna do that

  • @stevieray09 using a lighter and melting the polish on ur boot 5 times

  • @stevieray09 melting polish on ur boots with a lighter

  • @Cody00911 there 100% better if he had a true hd cam

  • id pay you to shine my njrotc shoes

  • I use polish and my own spit to shine my dress shoes up. My grandpa taught me that a few months back. I believe he served 33 years in the Air Force and I know for a fact that he retired as a Chief Master Sergeant.

  • k

well if that works, go for it

  • @rodan9 good vids man helped me out a bunch

  • How is the real way??Teach me pls~

  • Everyone has their own way of doing it. If you want to learn ask a family member or watch the video this guy posted. My shoes look exactly like this.

  • what he couldnt get chief warrent officer lol

  • He was actually offered the next rank, but denied it since he knew you become the military's puppet.

Next time don't assume you make your self look like an ass.

From what I see your going to become an officer. Well remember that the men who wear the stripes (enlisted ranks) are the men who make you look good.

You are the reason I believe you should have to serve a certain amount of years before achieving the rank of an officer. It would make you a better leader.

  • yea and sorry for being a jerk about the whole assumeing thing ,and yea im going to enlist after i m done army cadets are u in cadets?

  • I am not. I am planning on joining the USAF and doing Security Force so that when I get out I can become a U.S. Marshal or a State Trooper.

  • i can get a better shine. dam i need a vid. camera! btw. dont use regular kiwi, use kiwi parade gloss!! that stuff is the shit!

  • are you sure you don't mean " that stuff is shit"?

  • nope. it gets a better glassy look on it. also aint burn shining dangerous to the shoe? last time someone in my ROTC tried that, he melted the tip of the shoe!

  • parade gloss wears off after about 8 hours then you get a dull look.

i find i get a much deeper shine with regular as opposed to parade gloss.

yes burning is dangerous to the shoe if you hold a lighter in the same spot for 10+ seconds, check out my instructional video

  • ahahahaha Go Podaliny!!

  • I'm an air cadet! Whooo .. i'm polishing my parade shoes now.. how long did it take you to get them that shiney and how often did u do them? Thanks :o) xx

  • bout an hour and a half

for the first 2 months i do it every Tuesday

after 2 months do it every 2 weeks

  • watching some ADULT SWIM huh lol.

  • Great video!

  • amatuer

  • lol and you can do better?

  • yeah, much better, i wax n bob boots all the time because everytime i walk in them they crease and they have to be perfectly smooth when i get inspected.

  • make a video then...

  • The military issue low-quarters are the real stars here. Thanks for feachering them up close.

  • hi im in air cardets in the uk can i send my shoes to u and i pay u hit bck at my page

  • Uniform is a part of self discpline and you should polish them yourself, Put some effort in!

  • Oh lordy lordy lordy. All those shoes must have taken forever.

  • lol you have no idea!

  • dont use parade gloss... you will get a better shine outta the reg kiwi.... all the parade stuff is kiwi with silicone... JUNK

  • yeah.. i know that was kinda the point of the whole video

  • id like to know how you do those shoes. those are nice.

  • video will be up by October 12th, keep your eyes open, or subscribe

  • you do that polishing as a labor of love. Good job.

  • Looks like you've put your time in, you know what you're doing. Good job Airman.

  • bet you never tried to polish some desert boots

  • well you cant can you? It's like a swede material you cant polish that can you?

  • Can you make a vid on how you do this because mine is no where near as shiny as yours is.

  • Nice job. You have a knack for leather. Especialy appreciated your work on the issued low-quarters. Hope you got a lot of compliments and satisfaction from wearing them.

  • well done. i would like to see your method as i have just polished my parade shoes really good but i used parade gloss black, oxblood. Also how long did they take you thnx well done.

  • with my method you get a great shine the first time it takes about 25-20 minuets each shoe/boot. But the more you use my method the easer it is to keep your shine. After like a month of using my method you can polish your to a mirror shine in 5 minuets each shoe.

sorry i haven't gotten around to making the video iv been busy.

  • erm... i heard from many that parade gloss destroys the shoes is that true? i m confussed coz some ppl say it makes it super shiny while some say it's bad for the shoes D=

  • IV used parade gloss for about 2 years before I made this. From my experience parade gloss doesn't destroy shoes. I get get a better shine with the regular polish, that why I switched back to regular.

The instant shine sponge is what destroys shoes. And edge dresser, if you put it on the shoe itself.

  • I agree. After trying both, I like the regular Kiwi polish better.

  • are u using the kiwi 'black' polish? coz i thought it makes the boots more coated than polished... i heard that u nid to put water too... is that true?

  • Lol, yea some water, not much.

  • i used to use parade gloss. and it used to come off after a while in my opinion the normal polish works best. the stuff he used

  • Superb. Be interested in seeing your method.
