These are basically power chords. They're like barre chords, except you're only playing the first few strings and muting the bottom. The key is E.

Intro would be E - A - B, repeat until done.

Verse: E-A-E-D#-C#-A-B

A-G#-F#-B-E

A-G#-C#-F#-A#-B

Chorus: E-A-B-C-C#-A-F#-B

E-A-B-C-C#-A-B-E - go to intro.

@89nephilim Thanks, and it really does hurt, or I should say "tire you out faster". I've played the same song on a Strat and it went significantly smoother.

@tehflipd This is like how I try to gain finger strength. I put steel acoustic strings on my electric. They are so high gauge that it pulls the tremolo bar down.

This is actually my "prototype" video. It may be a bit misleading since I didn't adjust any of the knobs on the pedal or the amp. Try to look up other acoustic distortion videos, maybe that'll change your mind.

It would really be so much easier to just practice off the videos. In addition to just playing by ear, that's how I learned. My video isn't the only one out there for this particular song.
