kd lang is a SINGER and so should be judged on HOW SHE SINGS not how she looks or who she sleeps with. Her voice is phenomenal! She has a depth of feeling, of emotion in every song. She can be goofy & sexy but always sublime. When she sings duets she blends with her partner rather than trying to outshine them as so many others do. kd should be appreciated for who she is, not who you think she should be.

I wouldn't say I 'struggle' with her appearance, I just don't think she's attractive in the least. It's all subjective, but to my eye she looks very masculine with hardly any feminine beauty. That's not to detract from her talent, her voice is superb even though this isn't my kind of music.
