  • Yea, this was cool back in the day!!!

  • Golden Crest Records (also Crystal Records) was located on Long Island. I have the original record, which had a photo of the band on the top part of the label. The Crystal label also featured singer Don Romano, whose single " I'm Clean, Babe," failed to chart as far as I know. I went to high school with the backup singers, the Stewart Sisters. This had to be prior to 1959, since I had the record in late 1957 or early 1958..

  • @rocker1942 : I also have the 45rpm with the picture on it as well, funny, I had to glue both labels back onto the record. Both A & B side labels came off and I had to play both sides again to figure out which label went to which side. On the The Wailers LP, the labels did the same thing, great record though. Thanks for the comment.

  • @MrRJDB1969 Your photos came off too, huh? I thought mine was a fluke! Cool little trivia bit! Thanks!

  • Love the Wailers, but they are litigious, which is senseless considering most of them are gone.

  • @scratchyoldies : Where's the litigation where The Wailers are concerned ?

  • yes, this def has a 'train to nowhere' flavor- which is by the champs.
