This was the largest number of POWs since World War II. Pakistan lost 140,000 sq kms of area. Later Niazi blamed Yahya Khan and Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto for the surrender.

The real enemy of Pakistan is the Pakistani military. Zia encouraged mullahs. ISI nurtured taliban. Military lost east pakistan becuase they would not let Awami League rule Pakistan. Military own everything, from sugar mills to fauji mills. The best jobs and best schools are for them. For Pakistan to prosper we must put military in their rightful place. This military is the enemy of the people and if Pakistan fails it will because of military.

1971 when Pakistan was divided, it was Army who ruled. The mess Pakistan is in now was brought into Pakistan by army ruler Pervaiz Musharraf. Extremist was encouraged by Marg-e-Momin Marg-e-haq. Army don't want pakistan to become walfare state, they always want to keep pakistan's security state status. In case of walfare state , what would army do???

Military is the biggest enemy of the Pakistani people. Zia and Musharraf allowed the Taliban to gain strength. We have 750K army and a small ban of bandits took over Swat and Waziristan, because the military let them. These Taliban are a cash cow for them. They could have eliminated them in a few days but they let them kill innocent Swatis and Waziris so that could get more money from the US. They where Osama is but he is a golden goose. Military is responsible for the present state of affairs.

He is Dr. Abdus Salaam; the only Nobel Laureate(Physics 1979) from Pakistan. His invaluable contribution towards theoretical physics is the unification of the Weak Nuclear Force and the Electro-Magnetic Force. The picture you see of him is him waiting to collect his Nobel Prize in Shalwar Kameez! He read out a verse from the Quran during his acceptance speech. He devoted his life to science and the service of Pakistan; he even turned down a knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II because he considered himself Pakistani and never took on another nationality. How is he celebrated in Pakistan? Well he isnt... how many Pakistanis have heard of him?
