Lisa, you are right. my passions oddly enough include teaching but not in the traditional school stance. I have discovered that I could teach people more efficiently in music through the web. I also like writing books, so I should focus on that rather than being constantly frustrated by Ghostwriting gigs that always go sour when I'm not writing what I want. I should focus on these things rather than ghostwriting.
pleaseee help me out with this question, i never seem to get this answer....ok if we install WordPress into our web hoster we can create unlimited number of Domains through wordpress by paying just the monthly web hosting fee, then why some people make multiple websites through different companies and pay 30dollars yearly for every website they have which sums up to a lot of cash, instead of using wordpress and having unlimited domains but just paying the monthly Hosting charge? pls reply
Hey Lisa, congrats on your success. I'm a fellow SBI'er and unfortunately for me I'm on an all time motivational low. My site is 3.5 years old and i've moved ads, changed design and keywords too many times to count (and you know what that's like on an SBI site - I have over 1100 pages to amend!). I do get around 2000 uniques a day, but over half come from image searches. However I just don't earn much money and I really do mean not a lot. I guess I need to rethink my strategy or something :-(
Until I started my most recent blog, I would start blogging and then either get bored or run out of ideas to blog about.
I decided that not only having a new blog on something that I like to talk about (which is mental illness), but I added a feedback section so that people can send suggestions for me to help create content.
I think that having a background in mental illness (as I have one) will help me be more successful on my current blog.
I wish I had started doing what I love ( writing) years ago, instead of wasting time and money doing what I thought would make money and what wasn't my 1st love. Another great video, thanks.
4 months of hard work to make my blog a success......but after 3 months my traffic seems stagnent at 200 unique visitors a month.....but i love what i do......the question is in 2years time i need to show my Dad that doing something online actually helps to make a decent income.. atleast 700 dollars a month.....thats my target.....so Lisa what do you suggest........i am the guy who asked you about the weebly to wordpress thing in FB...love ya..we both are in the same field...so hope u inderstand
@rahul247rocks It's not uncommon to hit a plateau. Just keep writing and searching for unique ways to present your content. Try different angles with social media marketing. Write guest blog posts for other related blogs. Don't give up.
@lisa3876 thnx lisa...shifting to wordpress and self host next month as you said people take self hosted website more seriously and i also ordered a 125 dollar theme...so that my site looks professional....i made up y mind......i will write for the next 5 years a blog post each day......something has to happen......i won't give up...:)

hi lisa, i been wanting to create a site for my freelance business of 3d modelling and architecture, i registered with "wix.com" and just editing one of their templates to my liking, what is your opinion on creating a site with them?....AND YES I COULD'NT HELP NOTICING THAT WAS YOU RAPPING ON THE OUTRO OF YOUR VIDEO, that would be an awesome track to my ipod, lol, keep me motivated :)

Hey Lisa! i love your videos ! You're such an inspiration! I am just get started started. I haven't created a website but I would like your opinions on what I am about to ask you. Lisa, can I still build traffic and make money for free? I am jobless right now! Also, I have two topics that I am thinking about! The first one is downloading free music. I love hip hop and r&b music to I was wondering if I can make a website so people of all ages can download. My second topic....

Peace Queen. I appreciate the work ur doing. I've recently become acquainted with affiliate marketing and it seems like something I should have my hands in. But of course I must gain the proper knowledge beforehand. So with that said, I was hoping maybe u could suggest a few books/websites I should check out. I'm currently reading "KaChing" by Joel Comm. I appreciate ur help. Peace Queen and may u continue to be blessed in order that u continue to be a blessing.
I started a blog and setting up the blog I have really learned a lot. I bought a book also to help me, to explain certain things. The internet has help and You Tube has helped but in the beginning its so much stuff you don't know what to focus on or where to start. This is a good post because if you're just about making money sometimes that doesn't work but when you try to help people things go over the top.
So check out my blog, it's still evolving: BBQ and Women
Greetings Lisa, I know you from your transitioning hair video's, I love them all; and continue to watch them over because they are so good. I now understand why I am so drawn to you. Because you love to teach, and it truely shows. I now have a whole new channel that I can watch you on. I'm so grateful for all that you do. BTW I'm natural now; but still look forward to seeing your progress as you transition
wow, just the message i need today. I added this to my favorites! Thanks for sharing this Lisa ;) i'm at this point where i'm slowly losing my patience coz i feel like i'm giving it so much effort without getting any results... now i'll re-think my "big picture" coz i think i forgot to enjoy this money online venture...
Lisa. I agree. I love the part of the video where you were explaining to you friends what you were going to do for work. I am dealing with that right now. The first thing they ask is " how do you make money doing that online thingy?". Comments like this can sometimes keep me off track of what is really important. Thank you for reminding me of how quality content turns into loyal followers and visits. Than and only then can one "maybe" make a descent living at this racket.
You found the way to make teaching profitable ? You do realize the the teachers in the American education system make far more money than their counterparts in every other country. If anything teachers here in the us need a pay cut cuz teachers from other countries do a much better job and get payed much less. Anyway I do enjoy your videos I just had to share that with u cuz the tired ol line about teachers in the us being under payed is flat out untrue.
motivation is my main problem with my site. I have a review blog which i find boring to do.Well after i lost that "I'm going make money within 3 months" feeling. What i would like to do?.......haven't found that yet.
There is a fine line in teaching online though. The saying "Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach" really holds up online. Lisa is one of the ones that is pretty transparent in showing that she can "do" so that makes the teaching she does more valuable and legit.
I've found something that makes me tick, and I've spent a LOT of time making content - and enjoy doing it. However I'm starting to run into the issue that I don't have money to keep the site going (which is all I really want right now).
My site is dev-hq.net. The content is good (or so says my small feedback), I make videos on YouTube - but I'm unfortunately getting to a point in which I might not be able to continue :(
I totally agree with you Lisa!! Helping people through teaching is the key. Teaching really deserve to regain it's status and being a profession with excellent profits for the big effort of teachers. :)
You're absolutely right Lisa..amazing video as usual :) when I first started Online I focuses more on money but I found out I'm great at helping other people and as a result of sticking to what I love I've been able to make money but you cannot put a price on personal fulfillment from seeing other people do well for themselves :)
@lisa3876 i have 2 questions ok ? first i wanna know can you make money off a forum ? also how much dos it usually cost to build a good solid website ? nothing over the top just basic...i know i said two but here's a bonus what are some good web ideas ?
Lisa, thanks for putting it all in perspective. You know your passion, and sharing it with others comes easy. Now, the money making part -- I know that takes consistent work! And that's how it works best with whatever we do. It's funny, I never would say I wanted to be a teacher either because of the money. But, that is what I am at heart! @Mastersun88 Design is important, but it isn't everything. If it was only about design I'd be in trouble. LOL So I ask... Do people trust you? Are you doing anything different? As I said I got started long ago so I have a larger following so that is helpful. I also have a lot of residual income that has been coming in for years so that's another reason. So the products you promote make a difference too. Hang in there, you'll get there.
@lisa3876 I agree with Lisa on this. Regardless of how many visitors and subs you have, it comes done to credibility. I always tell new clients, why should people listen to you? Lisa, thanks for this video. My blog does exactly that - teaches. However I am just getting to the point where I understand SEO. How long does it take to see the benefit of your SEO? A week? Six? Thanks.
