In one episode it was revealed that Pres Bartletts SAT scores were 800 in math and 790 in verbal...

He couldnt figure out what he got wrong so he took it again and got the same score...

Years later, sitting in the oval office as president of the USA, he still bitter about that 1590...haha

Back in the day the SAT test had a English and a math component. Each had a total possible score of 800. The English component relied heavily on knowing the meanings and usages of words that didn't often come up in every day conversation. Someone who got a 760 or 800 on their English portion would be someone who is not only smart, but well spoken.
