  • omg i love the intro

  • wouldnt it be cuter if you put a star on top?

  • I saw that cone at michaels I was wondering what you use that for well now I know lol

  • I could serve that as dessert! XD

  • oh wow! I HAVE to try this! You can also get acrylic sealer spray but my goodness, shield yourself when you use it!

  • I remeber I did this as a Girl Scout during Christmas time :)

  • Wow! That's soo pretty

  • Nooooo I wanted to eat those candies!! Mentally, obviously.

  • That is so cute! This would be fun to make with Lawrence.. I wonder how many gumdrops would get on the tree though? He would probably eat more than he put on! LOL Really cute!

  • wow, that's beautiful and it requires a whole BUNCH of patience!

  • So stinking cute! Although how you resisted eating those gum drops I will never know.. 3 or 4 of these as a center piece on the Christmas table would be so adorable.

    TFS!

  • if I wanted to make them shinny and edible can I use powdered sugar mixed with water and drizzle it on?

  • @brian09able I would dampen the gumdrops with water a bit and sprinkle on some coarse white sugar, that may add a bit of sparkle to them.

  • @brian09able couldn't you just use egg white

  • Thumbs up!

  • i would find the tempation to eat them tooo much they wouldnt get on the tree . lol

Its very very pretty! i like the glittering effect cockroaches would love this in the midnight hour

  • @sooouuuuper ooops ps the humidity would make this weep too ants and cockroaches lol lol

  • @sooouuuuper Our winters here are very dry and the bugs disappear from October to May because of our cold weather.

  • Oh my that is really cute...

  • I really like this idea but it woukd never work here I would have tons of ants before ever getting it done

  • I'm not sure if I would be able to complete this little project. I think I would start off like gangbusters, but taste testing would soon impeded my progress. Sooo pretty!!

    Pam

  • Gumdrop thumbtacks!

  • So pretty!

  • Awesome! :D

  • aww~ it's adorable!

  • Oh so pretty! Gum drops are one of my favorite candies.

    - roc

  • It looks amazing and so easy!! Hugs!

  • Super cool!!

  • Such a cute idea! I think I'll make a smaller one to have for my family this Christmas! My son is only 1 years old... So its mainly for the hubster and myself!! :)

  • @beth510 You can most certainly make a small one with very small gumdrops, they would be really cute

  • I would make two,one to eat one for decor! Its so pretty with the varnish and glitter on it.

  • Thank you for pointing it out!

  • decorational purpose Dumbassess = ) these are those big ass gum drops you brought last time? = DD What website did you get thiss idea from,mm?

  • @madboutanime These are the gumdrops I bought at the Bulk Barn, that's right :)

I did a google image search and found many examples of this kind of tree. I looked at a few photos for this one, it wasn't too tough to figure out :)

  • You are so amazing and wonderful , and i LOVE your videos , You always make me smile at the end , And you do it so right ! and so perfect ! God bless you and your Happy small Family =)

  • A-MAZ-ING!

  • How cute, I'm using this for the kids Christmas party

  • Cuteness! You are right - it would be a great kid project. :)

  • oh i love it! beautiful

  • WOW I wouldnt put gloss though

  • Saw this idea last night while cruising google images. So simple and really a cool idea! Just a quick thought though...varnish them before putting them on the styrofoam so the backs are coated as well. That will make them last virtually indefinitely.

  • @croutoncrackerjacks Love google images, so many great ideas there. Varnishing them before putting them on would have been a really good idea. I decided after making it that I would try to preserve it.

  • Lucky Canadians and your lack of ants.

  • @apocalyptica003 Even in Canada, ants can be a problem :) Where I live, it depends on the season. At this time of the year, we don't have ants (or bugs). It's too cold for them.

  • @apocalyptica003 We have ants but they tend to stay outside. I know that certain tropical places have issues with ants getting into the house.

We also have winter so most of the year we don't have bugs at all.

  • Perfect for my new year's party, obviously without varnish, I will never put varnish on candies. Thanks!

  • Very festive. I didn't know that it was OK to varnish this kind of candy that has a sugar coating to save for a few years, learned something new. Just realized that part 2 of the log cabin didn't appear in my queue, going to watch it now.

  • @ArgentineShamrock No idea if it is "okay" or not, but I found the idea on a website. I think that if you did nothing that the candy would probably be okay, it would just dry up I think

  • What a great job you did with this! I love the finished product.

  • It was still intact after 2-3 days? I'd have eaten the whole thing by then :D

    Great video, thanks.

  • Can you eat it!

  • @TheRealovescupcakes you can eat it if you don't add varnish and glitter. but it won't be as nice. although the good thing is that you can eat it!

  • @TheRealovescupcakes I carefully explain this in the video, please listen again.

  • @TheRealovescupcakes Not if you make it as a decoration and put stuff all over it. ;)

  • that looks soo cute

  • I did this the other day and we sold them for a fundraiser and they were a hit :D

  • Soooo cute -.-

  • sweet!

  • AWESOME( it's the only word 2 describe it)

  • My niece was just asking me if there was a project she could could do. Now we have one. Great idea. Thanks for the wonderful videos!

  • I really like this!! Very cute!

  • LOVE this idea, going out to buy what i need to make this with my kiddos, thanks!

  • It's so cute I just really hate gum drops there nasty to me ?:

  • It's very beautiful, you always amaze me.

  • This is a cute idea! I shared it via Facebook because I have a ton of friends with kids.

  • So so so cute! What a perfect table centerpiece! Love the idea of the varnish! Great gift to give too!

  • You could spray it with hairspray to make it shiny again...

  • This woulld be a good party dish because people can take off whatever color gumdrop they want! I wouldnt use the varnish for that though...

  • Don't the candies rot after some time? is this a one Christmas only use?

  • @DORAMARIE pshh...... maybe after 5 years

  • @DORAMARIE actually no. check out 3:00- 3:05

  • @DORAMARIE read description

  • @DORAMARIE "Once the gumdrops are dry and sealed they should not get moldy unless they are in a really humid or damp location for long periods of time. Mine will be stored in the attic, a very dry and pest free area" :)

  • That is so cute!! I am definitely going to be giving this a try!!! Thanks for the great idea!!!!!!!

  • See you make cute foods.... My mom makes stuff out of jeans...

  • Great idea to add the glitter! It would look great displayed on a tall candle holder.
