For that dollar trick, I prefer not to rip my money, even if I can put it back together. What I do is I draw a little stick lady in the middle of a piece of paper and say she's my assistant and I'm gonna make her dissapear. I fold it in half, rip appropriately and take the "bite." A bit of acting, chew it up, then spit it back out as I unfold it. Presto!!! she's back.
