  • APPRECIATE WHAT YOUR TRYING TO DO BUT MAY I SAY WITHOUT HURTING FEELINGS?

ITS FUCKING BORING SHIT !!!!!!! SOUNDS LIKE ALAN PARTRIDGE KAREOKE

  • Would caravan to Hatfield and the North be a criticism or a compliment?

  • Boring

  • @wonnthree thank you very much.

  • great band !!!

  • Today I made a new friend I met a band of music Rock, already won the day

  • cant wait to see them in blackpool next year

  • I always wonder why Andy sings this in a southern accent when he's proclaiming himself "A Yorksire lad in London" As a Yorkshire lad myself, it seems part of the same swindle you get when films or TV dramas set in the north and use actors who don't know or have forgotten how to speak 'Northern'

  • cada vez que escucho esa flauta me provoca un orgasmo musical la tangente en el mejor grupo progrock de esta decada

  • this music is awesome

  • cavoli piu' che progressive sembrano lounge!cmq respect..

  • i like this band alot i especially like the keyboard

  • Fantastic! I'm loving the jazz and blues elements, with a subtle hint of a Santana influence perhaps?

  • We need more prog-rock women!

  • I couldn't agree more!!!

I was just looking up names to see if this one was used because we're looking for a name for my new band (it's a R- n -R cover band-mostly).

I've never heard this before. These guys are great!

I write wierd stuff toooo. hmmm maybe for my OTHER band....(she mused)

  • The Tangent took all the legacy of the old Canterbury Scene, Progressive band and jazz fusion sound and all become in one THE TANGENT

  • I love ''The Tangent'', thanks for sharing this video.

  • I personally think that the Tangent is better than Flower Kings!

  • Andys voice sounds s lot like Stolts.

  • Stolt manic

  • guy manning is my dad

  • This is possibly the best comment I have ever read on a Youtube posting, so totally and flabbergastingly factual and deadpan that I have to bow to its unparalleled simplicity. It was worth all the hassle uploading this video just to receive the comment. Thankyou for making my day a little happier.

  • 1313owner is my son.

  • @1313owner - you have a VERY talented Dad!

  • Is there or has there ever been a band member named Merv

  • No!!!... I have never heard of anyone called Merv, except perhaps Mervyn Peake who wrote the "Ghormenghast" trilogy. Perhaps he was in a very early line up of the band that I've forgotten about, I believe there is in fact a song called "Steerpike"

  • Hello from Brazil! You are the best!!!! Love you, congratulations =)

  • Who's the Jewish looking vocalist? He's really good!

  • hello from chili. beatiful song

  • Really enjoyed this. Reminds me of Caravan. Canterbury prog-rock.

  • Some Tangent songs are in fact very Canterbury influenced.

  • in fact, in the album 'The Music That Died Alone' there is a piece called 'The Canterbury Sequence'

  • Fantastic piece of music! A must have for any fusion/prog fan.

  • Excellent!

  • Great neo-prog!

  • Nice, but the singer.. ..he's trying to be Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull! :(

  • the tangent is the pioneer of progressive rock. superband...

  • I love this song

  • Excellent stuff! :-)

  • Why can't all music be like this? :(

  • I'm not really feeling the video aspect of this, but the audio is superb. Andy is looking nice btw - in many photos he seems to have had long wiry hair, but not anymore! I'm curious to see the DVD on a good tv and sound system. Thanks for posting Ian.

  • Who is playing bass? That isn't Jonas is it? Where did he get the Ibanez?

  • Yes... that is 100 percent Jonas Reingold. The gig was in the UK during a time when luggage and musical instruments were restricted on airlines. The Ibanez was driven in from France. Jonas hopes you will recognise him without his own bass in future. :-)

  • Well, he was hatless and wearing shades. :-)

  • And his hair was up.

  • Looks a bit crowded on that stage..lol

But, yeah, looking good so far - one of my favourites on A Place in the Queue as well!

  • Bravo!!
