Warren, thanks for this great tutorial. I just watched the "From the Basement" video here on YouTube and it looks to me like Thom's strumming the 6th string after the rhythm tap, before the up-strum? Also, can you give any pointers on the chord transitions? For example moving from the D-shape to the A-shape...having a hard time doing so fluidly. Thanks again.
warren, thanks for the tutorials, I just picked up a guitar a month ago and thanks to you, i can play some radiohead songs (best band ever) thanks again, keep up the good work!!!

I'm not sure if this is stupid to ask of you or not considering what i'm going to ask is about a part buried in the background. but do you think you can give some insight into what Jonny is playing?
What are the notes he's playing at 8:30 ish, thats a great sound but I've never had lessons so I'm not familiar with all that verbiage he's using. I heard the C and B notes but what else is going on there.
@rica2000 Nope that one's intact. But it is in need of a re-fret and some loving attention from a luthier... it's 12 years old and works better in drop tunings now. I used to use the two guitars to have easy access non-standard tunings and standard tunings, making teaching/writing much less of a headache, saves me from breaking strings too quickly form all the de-tuning/re-tuning.
The rythmic is wrong. For example : When you play the D on the "up" of the two and four, it's actually on the third sixtheent of the two and four. For all the chords (wich are good btw). Get it ? It's a sixtheent later than you play it in your tutorial. Big difference. ;)
@Lucne You'd be right about this except that this tutorial was made based on the version from the Cambridge Corn Exchange, as stated in the video. This version Thom debuted there was an early version, before the sixteenth syncopation you hear on the album and live versions now.
@warrenmusic All right. Don't you think the studio version is more interresting ? I mean the syncopation make all the song. You should make an update.
Warren you are awesome for doing all this Radiohead tutorials. I love RH, will always be one of my most favorite bands if not THE most favorite of mine. Your a good musician. I must make a request though... these are my twisted words, acoustic. there is guy that did a pretty solid cover from what I could tell, Halcyon91. Thanks for the great new tutorial! love how this song sounds... little bit different from past RH stuff it seems to me.
Great video, I really like how you explained the harmonic and rhythmic side of things. I thought I new it until you played that altered F chord. Your ears are sharp.
I knew you'd be on top of his new solo material! Good on you, and excellent as always. Any chance you can try and show a definitive version of Airbag? The one Maggiebear posted is incredible, but you can't see Thom's left hand at all! Argh! Sounds like it's in an alternate tuning. Someone else on youtube has a good cover in Open G (well Open A cause he capo's the 2nd) but it's not quite right.
Really really cool song and brilliant tutorial as always! Please please do Mouse dog bird from the Cambridge concert as well! That would be fantastic!
You are by far the coolest dude on youtube!
