i too was once a lost soul listening to mainstream crap but i grew up and started listening to heavy metal like iron maiden and RW, but do not glorify everything that has to do with heavy metal cuz there is something i like to call

STOOPID METAL- which is basically (nu metal, death metal, rap metal are just examples) these genres stain the good name of heavy metal- bands like slip knot, rammstein and all those other goofy bands... RW is #1

They have won gold, Been at nr 4 in the Uk billboards. WOn a platinum in India, Sold over 100 million records. and known as one of the most known and influential bands ever in music history.I just checked it up, Maiden has actually sold mroe records than Metallica. He was an English privateer sponsored by rich assholes who turned on him cause they thought he was stashing part of the gold he looted, so they charged him of piracy and murder and through a series of false testimonies and bribed trials managed to convict him to hanging. He refused to admit piracy and waited for his letter of marque to be found, but it never was. He had to be hanged twice as the gallows pole broke the first time
