  • Love you guys. You know your stuff and you make learning about comics fun. Thanks.

  • No, Kirby wasn't the Millie The Model guy. That was Romita Sr.

  • If you actually want romance comics that are both real and entertaining, read "Love and Rockets" by the Hernandez brothers. They're all in print, and cheap, from Fantagraphics books. Also try a bunch of other titles from Fantagraphics, Drawn and Quarterly, and maybe Picturebox or Beunaventura. If it is autobiographical and from one of these publishers, you are in for something good.

  • How did you choose the titles to review for this? It is like you made a list of all the recent comics with romantic themes, threw out the top half and reviewed the best of what was left. Only Blankets is really decent, and I didn't enjoy it. I thought the "blanket" symbol was weak and the romance was misguided and shallow. It does have great art and is well constructed, though.

  • That was great! I was on the fence with Blankets but now I'm gonna check it out!
