6 years old..... well i was diagnosed when i was 3 years old.. and i think i now wht it feels like...it can kill you.. but if you control it... there's no problem.. I admire very much Bret for what he is despite this life-burden

Man, I didn't know he was diabetic. I'm not a poison fan at all, but Bret's a real Rockstar. I mean, all that brain haemorrhage stuff and all, and look at 'im go! I was diagnosed with type one just a matter of weeks ago, and I'v already got it under controll - as long as you dont let it get to ya your fine, you know what I mean?
I'm an up-and-coming rockstar, too, plus my band's pianist's dad is diabetic, which is jokes. Theres sooo much of it about now, though. Seriously, its going round.

Brett, You don't have to live with this disease. I have cured myself along with many people I know, by eating a RAW/LIVE FOOD DIET. It works! Change your lifestyle. I found out that I was a juvenile diabetic about a month ago. These days we also have these faggots called the Jonas Brothers, and ofc the doctor tried to cheer me up by saying that one of them has type 1 aswell. That just made me cry and think life was hell. Then I found out Bret also has it, and this is pretty much what has helped me get through this very tough time.
I think I might be one of the few who can truly say Bret Michaels changed my life. His mom helped start the diabetes camp that I've been going to for 16 years. It has been the one thing to get me through life, and I am eternally grateful. I just wish he'd continue to support the camp that was created because of him and means so much to hundreds of diabetics.
I have been a fan since Poison first came out, and now my daughter (also a Type 1 diabetic) is a fan as well! My daughter wants to be a rock star too, so thanks to Bret for being a role model to her so that she knows that her diabetes does not have to stop her from reaching for her dreams!

I have "juvenile" diabetes too. I was diagnosed at age 20 though. That term is actually outdated. I require insulin to live, I can't just exercise and eat right to make it go away, unlike a "type2"
For someone who has diabetes, he always comes off looking like he's on top. I don't think I could be anywhere near as strong if I was diagnosed with it.
I have this horrible thing as well but I didn't get it until I was an adult. I only have type 2 and it is under control. I take 2 pills twice a day, watch what I eat and go about daily life like normal. Get enough rest and exersise and I am fine. My sugar stays in where it's suposed to and life is normal. So if you are just finding out you have it relax you will be fine with help from your friend and family.

My Dad had Diabetes for 36 years till it took his life in 1989, he was a youngg 59 yrs old,i miss him greatly. Now i have type 2 Diabetes, if i can maintain like my father did i'll be fine. I salute Bret and im ready for another Poison Concert!!!

Brett, You don't have to live with this disease. I have cured myself along with many people I know, by eating a RAW/LIVE FOOD DIET. It works! Change your lifestyle. You will no longer suffer from this. I do not speak "hype" I speak the truth. Hopefully you will listen. Diabetes translates to accelerated aging. Good Luck.

I found out that I was a juvenile diabetic about a month ago. These days we also have these faggots called the Jonas Brothers, and ofc the doctor tried to cheer me up by saying that one of them has type 1 aswell. That just made me cry and think life was hell. Then I found out Bret also has it, and this is pretty much what has helped me get through this very tough time.

I think I might be one of the few who can truly say Bret Michaels changed my life. His mom helped start the diabetes camp that I've been going to for 16 years. It has been the one thing to get me through life, and I am eternally grateful. I just wish he'd continue to support the camp that was created because of him and means so much to hundreds of diabetics.

I have been a fan since Poison first came out, and now my daughter (also a Type 1 diabetic) is a fan as well! My daughter wants to be a rock star too, so thanks to Bret for being a role model to her so that she knows that her diabetes does not have to stop her from reaching for her dreams!

my uncle was diabetic & a couple days ago he had a kidney/pancreas transplant cause he was barely alive--dialysis was keepin him alive & he's no longer diabetic

People thought the worst, that he collapsed cos of heroin, when in fact it was a dangerous blood sugar level due to uncontrolled diabetes. Shows the need for awareness of possible reasons for collapse, not just alcohol & drugs :(

I have "juvenile" diabetes too. I was diagnosed at age 20 though. That term is actually outdated. I require insulin to live, I can't just exercise and eat right to make it go away, unlike a "type2"

I have this horrible thing as well but I didn't get it until I was an adult. I only have type 2 and it is under control. I take 2 pills twice a day, watch what I eat and go about daily life like normal. Get enough rest and exersise and I am fine. My sugar stays in where it's suposed to and life is normal. So if you are just finding out you have it relax you will be fine with help from your friend and family.

My little girl got it when she was 5, she's now 7, and already says she really can't remember what life was like before.
Hang in there type 1's, I'm sure science will come up with even better ways to deal with this!

My Dad had Diabetes for 36 years till it took his life in 1989, he was a youngg 59 yrs old,i miss him greatly. Now i have type 2 Diabetes, if i can maintain like my father did i'll be fine. I salute Bret and im ready for another Poison Concert!!!

I myself am type 1 diabetic. I found out i had it 2 days after christmas in 2003. Early on man, i was confinded in the house because i was extremly worried something would happen, but 5 yrs on i can go out and have a great time with friends and family and not worry about a thing.
I hope people recently finding out they have diabetes can look at Bret as a real roll-model for them. Bret is a great man and an outstanding person to look up to.

My mom had diabetes and my boyfriend has diebetes. If not taken care of and kept up with, diabetes can cause major problems. My mom died of complications related to diabetes.
