idk why people say that this special move are difficult to do no metter if you play a d-pad or a arcade joystick if your playing a six button akuma or a 4 buttons akuma in arcade i use my thumb to LK my index to LP and my ring finger to press the HP no big deal you can press all in a dynamic rhythim in fact there are a few changes in sf4 and im not talkin about the ultra and super difference--_--
thats because streetfighter 4 lets you do the demoon the way ur talkin about...like pressing the low kick and the high punch together...in 3s you need to input the commands the way it was intended...not the shortcut bs in 4
no man really im tryn to help , iv used this method in many games not just for the ranging demon inclusive in MvsC/2 and the alpha you can try this setup you got to learn the rithym really try it but of course it is a method that i use , in fact in console controls i use claw for FPS its just how do you feel =) in fact there are many hand-setupd for arcade fightin games some people use all the fingers and the palm to press MK and HK =)
I do this differently. This method looks faster and more effective though. I do LP, LP, f+MP, LK, FP. It's the same Raging Demon command with MP stuck in between. It works for me but there's nothing wrong with learning new ways to do something. I'll check this out. ^_^
That's buffering the jabs. The TKD (True Kara Demon) is the one Jiro is doing. This allows you to walk up and Kara Demon rather than dashing or buffering.
1. Raging demon is executed by performing LP, LP, forward, LK, HP. Now in SF4 you can perform an alternate version (ultra move) by performing LP, LP, *back*, LK, HP.
2. The forward + MP is to perform Akuma's overhead 'chop' - in order to camouflage the Raging Demon input.
Personally, I've always found Raging Demon is best used as a counter-attack - for example, after just blocking an attacking, or teleporting past a super.
yes i agree as well because if you are even a short distance away doing your ultra, the other player still has input frames they dont have when supers are activated...thats why its easy to escape or attack his head. theres timing to it but you can throw out a projectile (distance and punch strength are factors) but if you time it right you can grab them slightly after they start recovery from being hit (IF they get hit)...but I here you can grab people out of the air sometimes with his ultra.
@jaxsonbateman Sorry to reply to a 2 year old comment but the only time you are going to get a punishment Raging Demon is against players who suck that's why most people do Dash Demon, Wiff Dive Demon, KD and TKD.
To know how to do this all you need to understand is what the Kara throw/grab thing actually means. A grab can cancel a normall attack. Raging Demon is a grab. Do a normal, cancel it with the raging demon. Ta da.
it doesn't need to be a grab! it need to be a special or a super. Grab is a special in this game and it's why it is working with grab also. If it wasn't the case why can we kara cancel palm with yun? or kara cancel SA1 with makoto? you see.
i can't tell how to do it just watching his fingers because its dark and at the beginning i'm not sure what part is ONE and when does he move his stick?
Akuma's Raging Demon is a grab move initiated by pressing lp, lp, lk, forward, hp. Due to the nature of such an input it's extremely easy to see coming and avoid--UNLESS the jabs are somehow hidden. In the video Jiro takes advantage of the RD's ability to cancel any normal and buffers the entire move into a few frames of a forward mp. With such execution he can punish and successfully grab his opponent out of MANY more situations than with a normal RD.
if you get a good grip, the performance will cum out a lot better; just gotta practice shifting your hand a lot and make sure u dont grab too hard at the head (the ball part)
Once you get the hand motions down you wont be sucking on them for long. Also there's no need to limit yourself to watching just japanese sticks. Expand your horizons, watch and play around with other sticks from everywhere. The best way to get better at handling sticks is if you play with someone else, preferably someone you don't know. That way you'll be able to pick it up faster.
i personally like to go to arcades, and i ask people for help on handling sticks. they will often give me some hand on experience. i come out all the wiser with some new stick handling experience. it makes me want to go home and practice all the more.
sf4 kara demon is F+LP+MP, LP+MP, B, LK+HP

Okay. I've tried this but it's a pain in the ass. I don't even play Gouki really, I just found the technique interesting.

Jiro should change his name into Ragin Demon.

i agree coz when u execute it u are attacking as well so he isn't staying in one spot trying to do it lol

i'm being very pedantic here, but in 3s they are all called supers. unless i'm mistaken ultras are slightly different?
meatflowers 2 years ago
ultras are from sf4 they make use of the revenge meter
akumazilla 2 years ago
Thanks for explaining the overhead chop camo. Never understood that part.
Invincnerd 2 years ago
It's also to gain a little bit of extra distance that the forward MP naturally gives you from his move. So it's a kara raging demon

Ohh, i aint got this game yet but this was confusing me, cus i only know the Original input. thanks for explaining

playing as akuma is too easy its like cheating

No it's not.
Playing as Gouki does have the disadvantage of very low stamina.

*Sigh* Forward Mp, Lp, Lp Forward, Lk, Hp.
One: FORWARD
Two: Medium Punch
Three: Light Punch
Four: Light Punch (Return the stick to the neutral position before attempting Five.)
Five: FORWARD
Six: Hard Punch
If you don't know exactly what's going on when you see this video you're probably going about learning 3s the wrong way.

If it were any clearer Jiro would kick down your door and shove a Kara Demon down your throat. There's nothing left to explain.

Cool, Japanese stick footage. I gotta see more vids of ppl's hands on sticks cuz I suck on 'em.

I find that you can get a lot more control with two fingers in front of the stick on the bottom and two behind on the top.
