@DjHardDriver well, if they go head to head 2900xt will still win but, 2900XT is a very old high end graphic card where 5450 is new budget low end card, thing is, u lose either way, 2900xt require ALOT of power to drive which require u to have very good power supply, but doesn't provide very much performance, now 5450 ca probably run lots stuff but they will not be high resolution or quality. tho it will probably be pretty cheap.

But the guy im gona but pc from say hi can change the card, hi can take out ATI Radeon HD 5450 and sett up the ATI Radeon 2900HD, he say 2900 is beter for games then 5450. What you think is best to have 2900 or is best to have 5450. im play sims 3 and simulator games

@DjHardDriver first off, that 400w is not a good idea to run 2900xt, 2900xt is faster then 5450, but it is OLD, u maybe better off looking for midrange new cards, such as a nvidia GTX460 or a ATI 5770 or 6850

Holy Shit Laaaag. You have a pretty nice setup man-An Asus P35 Chipset motherboard and an HD2900XT gpu- that thing should play Crysis alot better than what your displaying here. Then again you have quite possibly the shittiest CPU imaginable in the Celeron but reguardless- it should play some what smooth with the HD2900XT running the show. All well.

Yes the HD2900XT isn't the best card out, but it certainly isn't bad. With its 512bit interface and its use of GDDR4 or 5 i forget, it is more than capable to play Crysis, there are videos of people who own the 2900XT playing Crysis on max spec at high resolutions with a CPU that is far from high end like the Athlon 6000+. This one guy has this setup and plays Crysis at butter smooth frame rates.

Hey oliwers100, your system will play Crysis at Very High Spec at 1440X900 easily. A GTS 250 paired with a Core 2 Duo E7500 3.0GHZ, it will prably play Crysis at 1680X1050 on Very High Spec with smooth frame rates.

You may be CPU bound, I do have a 4850. I'm running a Phenom II 940 @ 3.5Ghz with 8GiB of ram and RAID-5 (3x1TiB). 720p is 1280x720. As resolution goes up it starts to hit your CPU harder more so then your video card, you really need a quad-core to handle Crysis since it has support for that many cores.

@FunnyNoCare It depends on the game, and crysis is one of those games where you'll see a CPU bottleneck if you have a good video card. Don't talk crap unless you really know what you're talking about. And of course higher resolutions are going to hit the video card too, its more stress on the GPUs ROP because there are more pixels that have to be rendered.

well, he is only using a rubbish HD2900xt, it wasn't even up to much on release! I use the real lifesis config plus the custom AFDOF on my superclocked 8800gts 512 and it tears through it without breaking a sweat!

GPU is mildly overclocked to 802/849 and the PSU is already changed to better one at this time , which is a ocz 600w
