@operaghostandkitty Of course they would. To a cat a parakeet is at once a toy, an annoyance that must be conquered, and a snack. We had parakeets growing up and one day we adopted a cat. She sat there for hours staring at that cage scheming ways to eat those birds. We eventually trained her not to even look at the cage, but we NEVER let the birds out unless the cat was locked in another room first, and we NEVER left the house without seperating them in different rooms first.
