@lordmunchkin acully hears the story in halo 3 flood attacked humans humans destroy them all and a tiny cell drifts throuh space which wasnt vaperrized it lands on the colony and forms into a infector ( bat thing) they live under ground when a corupt goverment puts a marker on the planet then the colony comes and then all hell breaks loose when they move it. and so then the grave mind was reborn but it evolved into the hivemind and the mutation covers entire body now and not just part like flood

i personally think the flood would win, they reproduce much faster, one infection form can take down a single necromorph if they get on top of them. a combat form might be a bit weaker than a necromorph(necromorphs have higher offense while the flood combat forms are physically strong and more agile) i don't know how intelligent the hive mind is but the grave mind is obviously very intelligent and is able to utilize advanced technology. also flood can use weapons for their combat forms.
