  • isnt it true that the so-called 'mutant' or friendly aliens were against the takeover & wanted to live normal lives on earth. I can see this in the morming papers 'MUTANTS START PAYING TAXES' haha!! the uk government will agree to take any money even from mutants so i can hypothetically see the govt agreeing to give the mutants asylum :P hahaha!!

  • Quinn Martin virtually owned the TV waves back then. I love the intros and outros to all of his series.

  • omg! As old as I am and I've never heard of this show!

What channel is that listed in the lower righthand corner? Can't make it out.

  • But, did they have GEICO?

  • 'The Mod Squad's Peggy Lipton suffocates by the roadside?! Say it isn't so!

    ;-)

  • This show scared me when I was a kid. It still does. :D I love it. The music, the acting, the plots. It's great. Don't make them like that anymore.

  • awesome movie

  • That truck was carrying some serious Hazmat;-)

I was a kid when this show aired and to young to understand why people would just burn up.

I remember some weird hand held weapon that would kill instantly when a victim was touched on the neck.

  • Me too, and I remember they also had a spinning double-crystal the size of a pair of dice that made people forget.(or just brought them under their control)

  • here come the illuminatis, and david vincent is fighting them!

    well done david vincent!

thanks for posting this nice video

  • Do a search for The Invaders Torrent and spread the word.

  • I don't see it on sale at Wal-Mart anymore. You may have to get it from Ebay.

Some of the Rat Patrol scenes were filmed near Edwards AFB. I found some of the area that I recognize when I was riding my dirtbike after being assigned there in USAF a decade later.

  • I still have the original Invaders flying saucer kit from Aurora (what's left of it) and I bought the released kit by Monogram under the title "UFO". I wonder that happened to the full sized mock-up.

  • I still have mine too and I have my Pin radio from Ultraman and the ray gun. my brother has the helmet anyway thanks for the heads up on Rat patrol, but I have look in walmart in our town and around.but I not had any luck hard for me to get out alot I am Disable sick a lot Have CF thanks again. By the way Quinn Martin had the best shows.

  • To bad the Aurora kit is no longer complete since it is now a collectors item. It has quite some value when complete and still in the box.

  • Yes, but Monogram bought the mold and fortunately they released it about a decade ago as "UFO" for licensing purposes. They also released the Flying Sub from the Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. And of course Polar Lights reissued the Jupiter 2 from Lost in Space and Spindrift from Land of the Giants. Recently there are more reissues and even new ones.

  • I am from outerspace.. Please don't try to adjust your tv set

  • i got both seasons on dvd now they great

  • ...And the "passing motorist" is MTM Show's Ed Asner! Love this stuff! :-)

  • i am david vincent

  • those aliens raped my girlfriend and my mom and made them kiss each other while it happened

i had to watch the whole thing while they raped my ass

    i hate them

  • The Invaders are grown in pods, sometimes which are carried in suitcases, and then they matamorphise into human-looking form;and they cannot bend their little,or pinky, fingers;and when they 'buy it' they immediately whither and vanish and take with them anyone or anything which is in physical contact with them in that instant. Please correct me if I'm mistaken on any of this - its been years and years since I warched any of this.

  • in this episode david vincent changes the catbox!

  • The Invaderes, a melhor serie de alienigenas da epoca de bom nas TVs.

  • Corny as hell looking at it now, but loved it as a kid. I named my 6th grade P.E. softball team "The Invaders". Thanks for the post, and some good memories of a simpler time in my life.

  • Killer alien virus?

  • They made 43 episodes,and "Wall of crystal" is one of my favourite of THE INVADERS,also with "Beachead","The Innocent","The Organization"(Aliens against the big Maffia,starring D.J. Cannon!),"The Peacemaker","Counter-attack" and "Summit meeting-part 2".

  • kissing and driving=not smart. lol

  • Hey we believed this stuff in the 60s! It was great growing up then...a Lost In Space (not a Quinn Martin production) fan!

  • Wow It's like only yesterday I miss it now I

hope NZ tv will rerun it BUT!G8T news H/wood R considering a REmake!

  • holy crap that was Lou Grant asking if he had trouble.

  • All these 60's tv shows look like old car commercials...with the same hills, the same shrubs, and the same BIG CARS.

  • PS...Isn't the newlywed gal Peggy Lipton from The Mod Squad and Twin Peaks??? Pete (Geoffrey) Duel from Alias Smith and Jones was one of the kids on the beach.

  • Happy that this series was finally released. Picture is great. Only two things. The invaders never killed Vincent off many times when they had the chance( think Bond...James Bond) and many times David could have grabbed an invader weapon to prove their existance. At least Richard Kimble got to stop running in The Fugitive. Sigh.

  • ALL "The Invaders" fans should have bought the new DVD first season collection by now. Those who haven't should "STORM" their nearest video stores and buy it! This DVD collection is fantastic, with Roy Thinnes introducing each unedited remastered episode. The pictures look so great, that it looks as if the series was currently on the air. I can't wait for season two!

  • I'm gonna get the whole DVD series by the end of October! I already have most of the episodes on VHS that have kept me happy for the last 10 years. I watched each episode about 20 times!

  • im from the 60's and I don't remember this!VTBOS and lost in space but imvaders?can't recall someone enlighten me....

  • It was aired on ABC. You were probably watching the programs on NBC or/and CBS. Or were you in bed? :)

    Jan. 1967 - Jan. 1968 Tues. 8:30-9:30

    Jan. 1968 - Sept. 1968 Tues. 10:00-11:00)

  • Man this takes me back! I was 7 when this show was on. Thanks!

  • Me too!

When they put Vincent's partner into the regeneration tube, that was SCAR-RY

  • I loved this show, recently bought Season 1 on DVD. I find the melodramatic spoken credits very 60s. And it always amused me the way the narrator keeps emphasising the fact that David Vincent used to be an "architect". LOL, as if that had any relevance to the main plot!

  • I have the DVD season one and everything is perfect -except for the cover art.

Where is the classic stylized "Invaders" logo?

Go to the Amazon page for the DVD and see my version of what the cover *should* have looked like...

  • I was about five when this came out and I don't remember seeing it on television, but if it interests me this much, then it must have been popular in 67-68. Or maybe it's just retro now. Anyway, I love these old shows and will be checking it out. Cool concept. Basically he's one of the first TV show Ufologist's and this is kind of one of the first X-Files.

  • After having the Invaders on vhs...I just ordered season 1 on dvd....Love this show...anything from the 60s i love.Lost In Space,Land Of the Giants,Voyage ttbots...My Living Doll,Get smart. The best shows came out of the 60s...oh yah big Munsters fan,Addams family and Batman.

  • i'll be damned... that was peggy lipton of the mod squad in that scene

  • This show is forty years old but is so fresh it could have been made last year. You can keep the current garbage on TV and I'll stay in the 1960's.

  • i second that

  • a third

  • WARNING!

This series is about to be released on DVD!

In fact, you can already pre-order it at Amazon!

So do so... Or we'll invade your world! BWAHAHAHAHA! :D

  • If this series was made after 911, the invaders would probably be wearing turbans in their spaceship.

  • You fagot piece of shit, you will die in hail of deathfire. ia am looking for you and you rcommentens anoujt fafot.

  • Allahuachbarf.

  • LOL! :D

  • I remember watching The Invaders with my parents and sisters. At the time it was first aired, my dad bought a Ford Galaxie just like David Vincent's and my sisters and I used to pretend we were invaders with a crooked pinky when we rode in it! I'm glad to hear it's coming out on DVD. Will definitely buy it.

  • Dear Eaglefrombeyond, I would like to know if Barbara Luna is still alive. If they ever make a theater big screen version ,then maybe she can return as the sexy but lethal Lisa from the STORM episode. Roy Thinnes was not used much in that awful Invaders TV film in the mid 1990's. The sinister Dominic Frontiere theme and background music wasn't used either. But there's great news!..I've been told that season one is to be released on May 6, 2008. What took them so long?!!!

  • Barbara Luna is indeed still alive and the Invaders Region 1 DVD will be out May 27 with lots of extras. I was there in NY April 4 recording intros with Roy. Have a good one.

  • Wow! Cogency1, you were involved in the production of these DVDs, or some of the Extras? How cool! What a time that must've been. We fans of the show are so-o grateful to have this series finally make it's triumphant debut on DVD. Those of us who were put to bed before 10pm on Tuesday nights in '67 have been anxiously waiting for this, it's been a long haul to say the least. Now, after 40-years, I get to watch it myself and send MY kids upstairs! LOL Paramount will be happy they did.

  • One of my favorite SCI-FI TV 60's series along with STAR TREK.

  • Give your kids nightmares - get the DVDs!

  • Great opening title. Theme music really sets the scene with dramatic narration, then he say's it...... A Quinn Martin Production!!!

Epilouge: My next Purchase on DVD!

  • Unfortunately, since then, many of the actors played in it are passed away -Michaël Rennie,Ed Begley,Diana Highland,Ken Smith,Alfred Ryder,Roddy Mac Dowall,Jack Lord,Laurence Naismith,Susan Strasberg ect...Frank Overton was the first-died in 1967-(an alien on "Genesis")and the last in line was James Calaghan-died in summer 2007-(young fellow in "Nightmare")...RIP for all of them.

  • You're right, but don't forget James Daily who was Alan Launders on "Beachead" and General Concannon on "The Peacemaker".

  • @Eaglefrombeyond ohoh; does that mean THE INVADERS are really here and takin' out some of HOLLYWOODS FINEST!?

  • @Eaglefrombeyond They didn't die - they were "taken".

  • i remember watching this in the early 90s everyone i know has never heard of it i wish they brought it back on one of the sky channels it's excellent i was glued to the tv when this started

  • Not wishing to be pedantic

trickhoseroff, but Roy is 70 in April. :-)

  • Roy Thinnes was in a few well known films but never acheived the kind of success that his talent most certainly deserved.

He was 70 years old recently...happy birthday Roy!

  • Thank you so much for uploading this tv program. I enjoyed all episodes. Too bad that he (Roy Thenes?) didn't play much in films.

  • The best part is when the invaders get back the stone.

  • Believe it or not, in 1980 I was asleep in my apartment and was "beamed" aboard a UFO!

I was only on it for a few seconds before I was beamed back down. I was in front of a TV monitor looking at earth below and, to my left, a man's voice said, "The entire North American Continent is becoming mechanized."

No one believes me that this happened, but as God is my judge, it did.

  • It was probably a cross between sleep paralysis and mid-sleep delerium. It can seem very real if you don't know what it is

  • Okay. I guess that's what it was. LOL.

  • Or maybe not...

  • good morning, I'm french (sorry for my english); this episode is "wall of crystal"; the first season of "the invaders" is the best, the most representative of the show...In France, the serie exist since 1969, and it's "culte"...

Is it true that in US the serie were not diffused since 1968 to 1992 ??

  • So cool! I watched this when I was a kid in 65 or 66. This is what you tube is GOOD for!

  • I was just getting into that episode before it ended there! I remember watching this when I came home from school... Good stuff.

  • A unique show. I was 10 in 1967, in it's heyday. What made is scary was it was so believable, since the aliens looked like US. Also, for me, a book called Flying Saucers, Serious Business came out the same year...by a man Frank Edwards that was like Fox Mulder in that he sincerely believed in Flying Saucers and documented evidence the government was supposedly hiding. So between the book and the show...I was scared out of my mind and yet could not stop watching...

  • All sci-fi fans should check out 'Monktation' on youtube...

  • And beware the Invaders do not want to watch this here on U-tUBE-the truth is out there and might get out.

    Fox Maulder

  • I remember watching it every thursday in prime time on french channel 1 or 2(I don't remember quite precisely)around 69/70.this series made a great score in France much more than Star Treck that is in my opinion meaningless(sorry for the fans...)

  • "looking for a shortcut, that he never found"

funny thing after approx. 40 years I still was able to complete that line halfway thru.

Since this was around the time of Nixon's first term, and we know cheney & rumsfeld were part of Nixon's whitehouse. Perhaps the "Invaders" were really today's neo-cons"

"Their purpose, to make it THEIR WORLD"

  • You know aliens have to be involved when everyone is driving a Ford Galaxy!

  • Does anyone know if the copies on UK Ebay are any good?

  • The best part of that episode is when the Invaders get back the crystal. One of the top TV moment.

  • I have most of them in French on VHS. Yes, The Penguin is in it!!! The music is the best of all the shows ever. I often have chills in the back when I watch that show. No other show or movie puts you in a more paranoid atmosphere.

  • this was a great tv show i watched as a kid. hope i can get it on dvd

  • Just google it, there are several sets available on the internet, complete 43 episodes on 10 or 13 dvds.

  • WARNING: Do not depend on googling for this series. There are many who sell it, but they are selling a pirated set, of poor quality, that was recorded off the Sci- Fi Channel. The cable connection used wass poor, too, so many of the episodes are unwatchable.

Again: *do not depend on Google*. I guarantee the "43 episode set" that is being sold on so many websites is a ripoff!

  • I have every episode of this great show! It's too bad that this show never had an ending.

  • can you post the rest please

  • i keep telling my mates i watched this as a kid every friday night but they think im making it up. thank god for youtube. awesome

  • I have this episode on VHS. Think its called 'The Crystal'. The late great Burgess Meredith (The Penguin and Micky from Rocky) is in it !!!

  • In France it is famous

  • Why was it so popular in France? Other than it being a great series. Being on Friday nites at 10pm killed this series, just like the Friday nite at 10pm killed Star Trek.

  • Excellent, largely forgotten late-60s TV sci-fi series.

  • Anyone know where I can get the series on DVD or video. Tried but have not been successful
