If Bombay had scored, then he would have gone on to the NHL, District 5 would never have won a championship, the Anaheim Mighty Ducks team would have never existed, and Kariya and Selanne would never have played on the same team. Of course, it's just a movie...
@jhamelin33 Things were different back then. Helmets were in and out. That's what they did back then. Then in the 90's a couple of jackasses decided to redraw the district lines and Bam Adam Banks was a Duck. Jack Reilly was pissed and sought vengeance. We all remember when he sent Mcgill out there to get Banks and when he flipped out and said nobody would make the team next year if they blow this game. Jack Reilly was great and the type of coach I would love to play for.
@hockeyplayer168 Sure, but he hits the post almost dead center in the movie. An NHL post is 2 and 3/8 inches; a quarter inch wide is negligible. He would have had to shoot about another 1 and a quarter inch wide to totally miss.
Sure, it's a movie. But it's a stupid attempt at being epic lol.
love the mighty duck films i heard they were supposed to making a 4th one a few years ago

If it was a quarter inch the other way the puck would have deflected over into the corner

remake this and pause at 0:12 and say "What if Gordon Bombay wore hockey skates"
Also, nice work with the editing.

@Hotshot90909 I know, I always thought that, hey how 'bout "What if they actually used the arena Lights?"

lol, the "quarter inch" quote sucks. Like a goal post is only half an inch wide lmao.

@jimih64 But the posts are round, you can still hit the post and score.
