@slimhunter89 Don't worry. It was the only public day of the event. He did continue to work on it through January during his work days in the Konami store below the Konami building. I managed to make it out again but there was nothing to see but the painting with more strokes and refinements. They used the finished painting for the cover of the Peace Walker art book though, so you could always pick that up online. It also features photos from the event in the back of the book.

@jp3sucks you can...his character design style is mostly shadow based shown 1st hand here... since he created the MG characters he knows them by heart so Its as easy as drinking water for him to slap one on a canvas right out of his head at anytime. His style is actually very simple and easy to learn compared to Yoshitaka Amano's style, one of Shinkawa's inspirations, but what makes Shinkawa's stand out is the simplicity, its like sketching but with ink or paint....its amazing...

This is great. I've always loved the style he uses. It always miffed me that MGS games after the first switched to 3d models in the codec screens rather than Shinkawa's art.

Those loose, flowing, sometimes sketchy lines and shapes really capture a lot of expression.
