  • Spare sandblaster anyone?

  • 1957 wasn't all that long ago, you would think they would have done a better job sealing the tomb, I mean its in a concrete vault lined it with rubber or something?? I seen cars in an old barn for 50 years in better shape

  • well she is fucked

  • and they used Bon Ami

  • start that rusty hoe up

  • LOVE the Olds at 1:45

  • It looks like it had been deep fried!

  • i think you will find that this car was buried brand new in a purpose build kinda tomb for it but water seeped in through the cement and this is what they found when it was reopened 30 or 40 years later

  • How is it rusted like that under the hood???

  • @MrTpengineer its not a water tight area under a hood.. specially in an old american car such as this one.

  • Looks like crap.

  • Throw that bitch away

  • tcut alta do it!

  • I love Americans. The only people in the world who would get excited about unearthing a car which was a heap of junk BEFORE it was sealed up... Now if it were a 57 Thunderbird or Corvette ... THAT"S a different story.....

  • @1ausskipper Fukin idiot.

  • try sanding all the rust off of that one!!

  • They just couldn't kill Christine

  • @DuallyDieselFord its a 1957 i think but hell ye

  • This is a Plymouth Fury. I adore this car, but I wonder which fool bury this car

  • They should have put it above ground it will eventually leak after 50 years no matter what you do

  • Aaw come on, it's not that bad. All you need is a few hundred cans of WD-40 and several thousand roles of duct tape and she'll be good as knew!

Seriously, what where they thinking when they built that capsule?

  • This makes me very sad, why didnt they put in a box on top of a hill so people could drive up and see it and count the years. these 50s 60s US cars are four wheeled works of art

  • this is that pylmouth belvedier its a 1957 and it was put under ground in a storage vault that was made with 2ft concrete was taht was supposed to be able to with stand an atomic bomb and the was broke and it filled with water anyways it was put under there for 50 years as a time capsul look it up on here

  • why was it buried?

  • Nicely preserved. WTF

  • they have it on display wtf? these are some heartless assholes

  • thats probably the real Christine!

  • it was horrible of what they did to that poor car. never saw the mountains, the long roads the cool wind. its a shame and lots of pain for that car. the time capsule was not water proof. it was built very poor.

  • I had a white over gold '58 Fury.

  • that unearthed car is worthless :(, the motor might crank?

  • why did they bury this car in a time capsule? what does it represent??

  • this is the 57 belvidier if im not mistakin i remember my grandmother telling me how she remembers the car when they first submerged it in a time capsule

  • @OWJuggalo 60 belve

  • @2ndamen well if it was made and produced in 1957 and put in the capsule in 57 so its a 57 ive done the research bro check it out

  • POOR CAR :(

  • what would happen if that bitch started up after all those years? hahahaha

  • Great video

  • Miss Belvedere's original colors were white over gold. What a beauty!

  • Comment removed

  • Ok, no offense-but what did they bury it in? A pile of shit?

  • if that car was mine, id baby it back to its original beauty, close anyways

  • looks like its been underwater in the ocean for years

  • @badgerbuddy it was put in a time capsule in 1957 and taken out in 2007, the time capsule had a leak and was full of water so yeah it was under water for many years

  • @TheMetallicafan88 The capsule was made entirely out of concrete ask anyone that has a house with a basement what happens with concrete when it rains.. And lets not forget about daily dew and moisture

  • @badgerbuddy i think they should restore the car

  • @badgerbuddy it was underwater for 45 years in a concrete vault. Doesn't look bad actually, it was de-rusted in 2008.

  • @badgerbuddy it pretty much was...in a concrete box underground that filled with water...

  • It's Cristine!!

  • I plan to open my time capsule on July 1st 2050 (exactly 50 years since til the day I buried it)

I don't expect everything inside to survive but it will be interesting to see if it does.

I am going to bury another time capsule in January 2010 and open it in January 2060. This time will make sure everthing WILL survive.

  • shut up wierdo

  • no u shut up! pmfl

  • what does "pmfl" mean?

  • Its a shame that the Tulsa time capsule cracked and leaked. When they were talking about digging it up and opening it, they expected it to be in pristine shape.

It would have been a beautiful car.

  • could have been a criminals car he/she probably buried it so it would never be found

  • they even put some gas in the boot in case the future didnt have any as well as a hand bag on the front seat.

  • no GMrox104 thats an old 1958 Plymouth Fury like the one off of Steven Kings Christine

  • no its a 1957 Plymouth Belvedere, if im not mistaking this is actually "Miss Belvedere," look her up ;)

  • thats an old plymouth

  • looks like a 1958 chevy impala

  • no its a 1957 plymouth belvedere

  • No it doesn't

  • what kind of car is that?

nice job saving a forgoton piece of history : )

  • Bit of oil and sandpaper and it'll be good as new.

  • Under groud "tomb" leaked and flooded

  • what r they gonna do with it?

  • she being PRESERVED she still being derusted but she looks alot better that was in 07 its 09 now....they wanna get her running

  • Wow, that sounds like a ton of work.

  • it was just surface rust on most parts of the car. the engine was rusted through so thats gonna be hella hard to fix. an the interior

  • nice :X

  • its junk now damn they should have sealed it well

  • 30GB, hey man, it was the 50's, they were still using leaded fuel and this was supposed to be the "car of the future" lol. back then then cold war was in effect, so i guess they thought it would protect it from bombs...but somewhere along the line i think they forgot that concrete/cement wasnt water proof....OOPS!!! lmao.

  • 50 years is a hell of a long time it looks like it was only there for 1 or 2 or 3 years

  • 1:39 sweet old car beutifully restored

  • this look s like a fury the unearthed one reminds me of christine but what the hell do i no im 12

  • id like to see a Toyota come out looking that good :P

  • Could have used a better song !

  • lol there is an old vw in my gramps old house guess were???? underground!!! llol

  • i don't think so

  • did it still run??

  • are you fucking kidding me? of course not! mabey with ALOTE OF WORK it would, it was under water,

  • wait what it was under ground

  • yeah she was a time capsule

  • Sad! The '57 Belvedere was the best Plymouth ever!

  • So what next? Repair?

  • if you put anything under ground then the water will always find a way in....shame those halfwits in the 50's ruined a great car over time before doing any research

  • WAS IT REALLY BURIED

  • Yea it was. It was under the floor for 50 long years. I think if they would seal it so oxygen could not get in the chamber, it would be the same.

  • uh oh....better get MAACO

  • I seen a white '57 Plymouth fury about three weeks ago! It had the gold trim it was AWESOME! But I like the Trifives the best.

  • Look like Christine.

  • Its VERY close to Christine. Christine was a 58 Plymouth about the only think different is the head lights and bottom part of the grill.

  • Buried Belvedere from Tulsa,poor Plymouth,Rest in peace :[

  • did tulsa start after taken out?

  • The show car chasis mirror is priceless. LOL

  • can anyone tell me what kind of car 2:48 is

  • Chrystler prowler

  • what year model

  • about 1999 and i have already said the model. prowler

  • Plymouth Prowler

  • Nice video.Whats the name of the song?

  • Sniff'n The Tears / Driver's Seat

  • Fine looking cars restored. This one is a block of scrap. Cries for a restoration are ridiculous. What is salvageable? The horn ring, or a piece of glass? 95% of the car would be useless.

  • u mean the one at the beginning? well that is a plymout belvedere back when it came out they put it in the ground like a time capsule with a time magizine and stuff in it so they put it in the ground and it was to be unailed in 2006 but over the years the car became under water and it was like that when they opend up the concrete it was like that.

  • Restore the car..It is a part of the American history..little that we have have left..

  • they barried the Belvedere when it was brand new. and put things from that generation in the car. magazines. beer. toys. shit liek that. they burried it in a concrete pit. pretty barbaric if u ask me. apparently the concrete got cracks in it and water leaked it. i have no idea how they woulda made it better. thicker different layers of concrete??? idk

  • What a waste

  • What music artist or song did you put on the Plymouth Belvedere video clip?

  • Thanks for posting this video. It really shows clearly the unfortunate shape of the car and I enjoyed that there were pictures added of what a 57 Belvedere that hasn't been submerged in water for 50 years looks like. I can't help but wonder why other options weren't explored that could have kept that beautiful car safe from the elements.

  • retore it!
