It's about how mass amounts of people continuously kill themselves, and you find out that the plants had been releasing a toxin in the air that has been causing it. The reason it was happening was because plants under dangerous circumstances can send off toxins to eliminate the threat in different ways, and we were supposed to be the threat to planet earth in this movie. It was actually a pretty creepy movie, not the typical scare.
