Yes the 09+ WRX is capable of 350 WHP at sea level on the stock VF52 but it runs out of breath on the top really fast. Also injectors and other supporting mods are needed. Bad ass bottom end but that is it.

I had 3 hondas before my sti. They were all swaped and very clean and tasteful cars. I am honest and worked hard to make my cars nice. I left the honda game beacause of the stealing and cops always treating me like a asshole racer or car theif. Since I have owned my sti I never get pulled over note it has a full turbo back 3 inch exhaust and that deep boxer rumble. terrible shifting. putting too much strain on the drive train. you're supposed to double or single clutch while downshifting into 2nd from 3rd or 4th, especially 4th because rpm differential is quite high. i'd still take the scooby any day

I bought my 09 WRX for 22k. 2k later and I'm at 300whp. Thee cool thing is that I still have a/c, powersteering, a good paintjob, AWD, traction control, and a whole load of other goodies. All in a car that I can daily drive in comfort.

How the fuck is that a fail by the wrx? Its called power to weight buddy, and that 265hp for the wrx is at the flywheel not what it puts to the ground. The wrx in this video weighs around 3,200 pounds and the civic probably weighs right around 2300 pounds. Do the math, that civic is putting more power to the ground than the wrx and weighs around 900 pounds less and the wrx. You have more than an unfair advantage and doing a roll on race on a highway just adds onto that.

terrible shifting. putting too much strain on the drive train. you're supposed to double or single clutch while downshifting into 2nd from 3rd or 4th, especially 4th because rpm differential is quite high. i'd still take the scooby any day

And what is "super noob slash ricer" to me is trying to make a civic fast. The car was desinged for fuel economy and reliability, and props to a civic for that. But a civic is like the prius of the 1990's and its is about as cool as makeing a prius a race car.

I bought my 09 WRX for 22k. 2k later and I'm at 300whp. Thee cool thing is that I still have a/c, powersteering, a good paintjob, AWD, traction control, and a whole load of other goodies. All in a car that I can daily drive in comfort.
I'm not dissing older engine swapped hondas, but you are comparing apples to oranges.

@SlipshT yes cause the power to weight ratio is lower on a civic, but your talking a heavly modded civic vs a stock wrx, thats a dumb race. it would only be fair to mod the wrx as well if you want to go that route, heavly modded civic vs a heavly modded wrx that would be a fair race and im betting the civic would not even come close to it, considering we have done muiltiple wrx's with intake full exhaust and flash and the car easyly falls into the 12's 1/4 mile times and thats stock motor

How the fuck is that a fail by the wrx? Its called power to weight buddy, and that 265hp for the wrx is at the flywheel not what it puts to the ground. The wrx in this video weighs around 3,200 pounds and the civic probably weighs right around 2300 pounds. Do the math, that civic is putting more power to the ground than the wrx and weighs around 900 pounds less and the wrx. You have more than an unfair advantage and doing a roll on race on a highway just adds onto that.
