Keep the tradition alive! Lemonopoulos was one of the original great bouzouksides. I am proud to say that my dad played with him too!!!
I wonder if there's a Lemonopoulos fan club? Not only was he a brilliant player, but his compositions were unique in the way he combined scales and chords, at speed, that no one else at the time was capable of doing. You could tell he was classically trained.
If there isn't a fan club...there should be. When I was a kid taking bouzouki lessons, my teacher worshiped Lemonopoulo. I, in turn, became a believer. He kills me with his changes and choice of note. Yianni, na'sai kala na mas paizis bouzoukaki.
