I remember waiting for this album in 89...after listening to Psychocandy, Darklands and Barbed Wire Kisses over and over again, it felt like ages. At last, when I got in my hands, it felt like a fucking orgasm...and that before I listened to Here Comes Alice for the first time!

After spending much of '88 (the 'Sidewalking' single didn't impress me much) and '89 wondering what the Hell had happened to the Mary Chain they announced their return with this utterly self-assured, amoral, swaggering, "f**k you if you don't like it" masterpiece. The 'Automatic' album might've been a bit hit and miss but 'Blues' is one of the Mary Chain's finest moments.. that melding of sex, TV, movies and the dark underbelly of pop culture was captured perfectly here. F**kin' genius!!

I've been lovin' the Chain since I 1st heard Psychocandy.. This song starts my heart every morning. It's like a legal hit of speed. I agree w/ the "MOST UNDER RATED" tag, , perhaps of all time? To the small minded, I think if Jesus was around during - 80's-90's He woulda rocked out to their tunes.Pity the detractors of any art form that is original, creative,& inspirational. Van Gogh never sold a painting. And those that hate them were born with no musical taste & no souls. They are Legion.
