nice to see higgins winning it, looks a bit old now :), but very happy for him. Judd is indeed a modest young man, i like how he handled the occasion perfectly, this guy has the all around game and looks very promising for the future. One to watch after rocket ronnie. He's the best for me.

@cosmin8919 you are right. but as he said before the WSC he was a nobody and since that his popularity and success rose and rose. and he developed a slight arrogant character. In this interview he really was modest, but now he has reached the top 5 of the world, and his success came that quickly that he still has to learn quite much about the snooker behaviour. but i am sure he will learn. or at least i hope it :) i am a robertson fan, but nevertheless i think judd is a great player too.

What a great ending of the tournament. Higgins showed all his player smartness in this frame. Trump is a good player but is very non-experienced to win the world championship.

@aidencurl Luck is not enough to win the world championship with score 18-15. John Higgins has much more clever play than Trump and it allowed him to win. Trump failed on simple straight ball. Do you call it just a simple unluck? And he was 3 frames away from winning, not two.

What an incredible finish! I wanted Judd to win all along, but Higgins cleared up and laid a fantastic SNOOKER off the pink, played the game by its name, and then finished the job. Amazing snooker.

The very last sentence of Steve Davis is true: "Only John Higgins I think could have beaten Judd Trump today."

But just look at both of them. John Higgins has fought the fight of his life. And Judd Trump is smiling just like it was an exhibition.I'm sure it meant a lot to both of them but the potential of this young lad is just great.

I don't like O'Sullivan but noone in his right mind can say that he's not the best player of all time.

I'm pretty sure, that if you really look at the stats O'sullivan got by far the best ones. People only look idiotically at numbers of WorldCh. but these guys play snooker all year long.

And also, is there anyone on this planet who has a positive record against O'sullivan.

@400timesmore Stephen Hendry didn't just win the most world titles, he was in the top 16 for more consecutive seasons than any other player, he was world number 1 for more consecutive seasons than any other player, has complied more centuries than any other player (almost 200 more than O'Sullivan and he's in second place), made 10 maximum breaks in professional tournament play and won more ranking titles than any other player. I like O'Sullivan, but Hendry will always be the greatest IMHO

@400timesmore Easy choice for me too, Hendry. An out of prime Hendry made an unbelievable run in the 2002 World Championships eventually meeting Ronnie O'Sullivan in the semi final. An on form O'Sullivan lost 13-17 to Hendry, a player clearly past his best who then went on to take the final to it's final frame, losing to Peter Ebdon of all people. That tournament will always stick in my memory as proof of why Hendry is the all time greatest.

@cpacoustic No way that was an on form Ronnie he didn´t train with Ray Reardon at that time, only in 2004 he got the complete knowledge about safety play, and thats why he beat Steven Hendry 17-4 in the 2004 semi final .

Well, Judd just missed or did a bad shot in the wrong places. I think he really deserved to win, he was overally better than Higgins and produced some fantastic, entertaining snooker. Higgins just is a steady, clever player and he managed to sneak away. Great match anyhow!
