  • i can so relate to not having full site but not being completly blind. We live in the inbetween world.

  • I work w/ kids who have varying degrees of V in the public schools system. My job involves helping teachers w/ modifications. My kids with low vision are more difficult for others to understand than those with no vision. I like what she says about the guide dogs because some of my kids think they can ignore their O&M skills if they have a dog when in fact your O&M skills have to be superior in order to qualify for a dog. I agree that senses don't become enhanced. They ar relied on more.

    well actually it dependds on how bad your sight is .. mine is ok but i can not see the board at skool and i cant read really small print and I need to look close to my books i dont have those black glasses and i dont own a cane either

  • I have ROP, too. I use a magnifier to see books if my eyes get tlired.

  • I also went to Guide Dogs for the Blind, but I went to their Oregon campus.
