Because a lot of business and science software only runs on windows. Mac is good for video editing, music and visually-oriented stuff but terrible for business. And gaming. So if you install a windows os you can get the nice exterior design and build of the mac and run virtually any software program in existence.

@rural1 boot camp is for the installation of microsoft operating systems only. and why would you want to install tiger on your mac already running snow leopard? how about you upgrade your os to 10.6.7 then get an apple dev account and install lion or just simply get it from a torrent.
No problems. A Mac Pro can run Windows games so long as you have Windows installed under Boot Camp and you have the latest Boot Camp drivers installed (version 3.2 is the latest).
However, running Windows games may still be best under a gaming PC rather than a Mac primarily because Macs still don't support a particular graphics card feature, namely ATI/AMD CrossFire and nVidia SLI.
Of course, this matters only if the game supports this feature, though most games today likely do.

The Blue Screen of Death is the name for a SYSTEM ERROR which was caused by a flaw in what you were doing. Put it this way: if you were doing something you shouldn't, you'd get the BSoD. Problem is, Vista had the BSoD MULTIPLE times because it was an unstable OS to begin with. To my knowledge, 7 fixed that problem (mostly). Plus, there's not much viruses for Mac because people didn't DEVELOP any for OSX. They will some day, mark my words.

Any way I don’t want to be rude but windows is really for poor people and IT people. If you see videos of executives and politicians they all use Macs because at their level they need highly dependable machines. IT people want to keep windows alive because they need computers to fix for their jobs.

When a problem on a macintosh computer causes a corruption you are stuffed and have to re-install the operating system. Macintosh OS are designed to be easy to use not advanced and versitle. that's why bussiness executives and politician's use them, because they are not computer literate.

Yes, and quite easily using the Boot Camp Assistant under OS X.
Boot your Mac into OS X and run the Boot Camp Assistant, located in the Utilities folder within the Applications folder.
Just a few clicks and the Boot Camp Assistant can wipe out the partition containing the Windows installation and reallocate the freed space to the OS X partition.

The Blue Screen of Death is the name for a SYSTEM ERROR which was caused by a flaw in what you were doing. Put it this way: if you were doing something you shouldn't, you'd get the BSoD. Problem is, Vista had the BSoD MULTIPLE times because it was an unstable OS to begin with. To my knowledge, 7 fixed that problem (mostly). Plus, there's not much viruses for Mac because people didn't DEVELOP any for OSX. They will some day, mark my words.

Xerox was the first company to create a graphical user interface for the computer and Apple stole the idea from them. As a matter of fact several GUIs were created for dos before the macintosh computer was invented so Microsoft only stole what Apple stole from other companies.

Honestly people have their own opinions and no ones ever gonna know besides the creators. Windows isnt always that great, sure it's cool sometimes and so is Mac. Im not saying Macs amazing either but i don't think Mac needs Windows to run %100 its really fine without it, just like Windows has alot of patchers Mac doesnt have so many. Theres good flaws in both.

@ScotjeRPAS I have turned the ugly windows on at work - i was telling our IT department that we should switch to the Mac because it just works better and now with the Ipad it will be the best system – IT - said they wouldn’t and my guess is because the Apple computers are better and don’t break as much the IT people won’t have a job.

The are not neccesarily for poor people as the highest end PCs are more expensive that macs only the hardware is about 4 times more powerful. The point I was making is that other brands besides Apple are better value for money.

@MrFriskey1 You right though about windows being for I.T. people. However it's not simply becuase they need to fix it, It's because they want as OS that is versatile and supports the advanced tasks for I.T. experts.
Everything that can be done on Mac os x has can be done on Windows with an equivalent steps plus a whole lot more features you won't get on another OS.

@MrFriskey1 For instance, when someone needs to troubleshoot a problem it can easily be done on windows unlike macintosh and when it crashes you can trace the cause of the crash. When a problem on a macintosh computer causes a corruption you are stuffed and have to re-install the operating system. Macintosh OS are designed to be easy to use not advanced and versitle. that's why bussiness executives and politician's use them, because they are not computer literate.

Now I'm not the richest guy around and I am a windows user but the reason I'd go for windows based computer isn't cuz I don't have the money but rather because when I'm buying a computer I want to buy a computer... not a computer that's 500-1000 dollars more expensive because it has an apple on it. Sure it looks nice, and sure as hell it's got good specs but for the same amount of money I can get better... simple as that...

You can find people hacking computers on tv also by just mashing keys on the keyboard and not doing anything that would logically work in real life. Honestly, Mac OS X would crash more often while being used than the number of time an error in windows would cause the blue screen of death or stop error as it is known officially, to appear interupting your work. Someone once even told me that no matter how hard he tried he could not make the blue screen of death appear.

@MrFriskey1 you're and idiot. the viruses you get on the windows partition wont do a thing to our os x partition since they're all created for a different completely filesystem and run through the windows registry only.. and windows itself is not called the blues creen of death, the "blue screen of death" is a file dump screen you get on a windows computer when something in the system goes horribly wrong within the registry itself causing the computer to crash and backup the crash report files.

@MrFriskey1 ram, hdd, and some video cards if you have a mac pro. then you gotta throw the shit away when t gets outdated like many of the shit power pc that they use to make.. & btw most of the developed apps for ipad, iphone, & ipod touch are developed on PC's since there's more readily available software to do it with not just limited to what you get off the apple website.. oh and iCloud is old news microsoft has had the same type of program since vista, it even allows saving of up to 8 GB.
