You see that in alot of mobile homes that have those cheap windows...You will also see Mold problems later because of it. Just change the windows to good quality windows as you can. It will be worth it in the long run :)
when i see the water on the windows i can only think about to much humidity inside and maby you dont have the heat on so theres no circulation... cirkulation is verry inportant when you do a repaint coz of the water in the paint have to go somewhere... here in sweden we have 3 glass windows so sometimes we get water between the windows... offen its just the wheather changes... and as long as you have cirkulation its going away... nice vid m8 ty...
@prosits Yeah I t was very cold outside and the heat is off + no circulation at all....maybe when I get the heat and air unit right that will fix it.....do you think?
@london1817 i guess that when you get ur heater going and the ventilation ur water on the windows will dissapair... i realy dont know why you turned the circulation of but if something is starting molds and mushrooms its humidity... so get some circulation and some heat on... dry the house out 1ce and for all... =) like your vids m8
@prosits Thanks! The place was foeclosed 5 years ago and was empty all that time...I am working on getting the heat on but the whole system needs replacing...the heater is nasty!...full of dead roaches.
The windows were not properly installed when they were new and they are actullilly missing weather striping you might want to get a DIY manuall on amazon because I think there are a few details I'm leaveing out I think
@MegaUnitman That makes a lot of sense..because I calked around some windows around the best i could and it still does it...I will check out the manuall...thanks!
I was told buy a "Master Builder" whatever they are, lol. That the reason the windows sweat is because the humidity in the house. The cold air outside comes in contact with the warm air inside and forms condensation on the window. He said that adding an inside glass/storm window will provide a nutural air space so the warming and cooling can take place more slowly so the window doesn't sweat. I hope this helps.
I would go to the Habitat Re-Sale Store and get them cheaper than new, it's only a rental right. You can buy the same as for the outside and just use them on the inside, it works the same.. Give it a look see and you might save some big bucks. Thanks for posting this.
Paint drying and upping the humidity? If it is cold... usually the heater would be on and drying out the house. But since the heater looks like hell and you guys are working... it is too cold in the house. 62 and lower is where our windows get all wet like that.
if you put storms on the outside or inside your moisture would disappear....your situations looks like storms already....like you need glass on the inside...my kitchen windows require glass panels on the inside to eliminate moisture....it works fine.
That place is looking great, I live in a modular home, that has the inside storm windows, and have taken some off in an attempt to remodel and we have the same condensation problem in the winter, all we do is apply the plastic to the inside frame of the window, and we have no problems all winter. You can also clean those AC coils yourself, if you want to get a little dirty....
Maybe some new or used windows from the Habitat for Humanity store. If you have one in your area that is. Or if you don't know about this site - check out "diggerslist"
When I lived in a Mobile Home it had an interior and exterior window. I think it was not very bad on moisture between windows. As long as you have an inner window and turn the heat on during the winter. Your place is looking better every day the floors will look good once you get that installed.
