This is one of my favorite classical pieces.

I was introduced to it through the film Breaking Away which uses this music in a great blend of audio and visual.

Superb performance helped by the wonderful acoutics! FM is not 1 of my favourite composers, but hearing this has made me seriously rethink. This performance so brilliantly captures the sprightly sunny southern spirit FM wants to portray after the sombre cold northern mists of the previous "Scottish" Symphony..The lightness of the opening horns says it all. This is M at his best, and so brilliantly interpreted, without dragging in tempo, often gulity of many conductors in performanng this work.
