  • Yeah for Aqualad indeed---he rocked!

  • the Filmation version of Aquaman was cool. I loved this show. for the time the animation was decent and looked good. he wasn't used much during the Superfriends series.

  • Aquaman makes me hungry for Long John Silver's . . . . . . . . and fish cock.

  • This is where they got the idea of MermaidMan and his sidekick BarnacleBoy, Right?

  • AQUA LOUD!

  • Aqualame.

  • I like how much Mermaid Man parodied this show in Spongebob.

  • Aquaman! With his power... to ... talk to fish.... yeah!!!

  • The cool things about aquaman are the things most writers don't play up much. I don't like it when they play up the telepathy, cause thats retarded. It should be for communication only, even if it can cover the world. But Aquaman commands the most advance army on earth, access to advance weaponry, highly educated(cause of how advance atlantis is), and trained by the best warriors in his nation. Even without super strength(which his is low), he could still cut it as a normal hero(like batman).

  • Of course the latest revision took most of this away, is badly drawn, and beats villains stupidly. They really take the command over fish way too literally

  • @GadGades Currently, Aquaman can "summon and command all creatures of the deep" because he genuinely is "monarch of the oceans," and "king of the seven seas." He can summon and command them because they owe him fealty. It's not scientifically sound, but it's mystically sound, and that ability is mystical. That's also why Aqualad can't do the same: He's the prince, not the king. He can only request aid, not command it.

  • He'd have to be extra tough to withstand the crushing pressures of the ocean, have supernormal strength and endurance as well as speed to propel himself. He'd own up in the octagon.

I bet you couldn't even do 100 situps.

  • what the shit the seahorses are exploding!!!!!!!!

  • This Is a Cool show, glad it is on DVD now....when they used him on Superfriends he didn't get much time, was mostly in the background as the series continued through out the years, by time the last Superfirends show came out in 1985, he was not used at all except as a cameo.

  • That's because he became a manager at Long John Silver's

  • I was like wtf when I saw this

  • I loved this show! He was like an underwater Tarzan!

  • LOL. Have always wondered what sort of gel he uses for his hair underwater. Western movies must be his favorite cos he rides them giant seahorses when he could have dolphins or manta rays. Wonder if this king knew the Man from Atlantis. Elvis did.

  • This is what I've been looking for! Aquaman...KING of the Seven Seas!

  • Well, as the Superfriends progressed they did get better -- but they had to come a L-O-N-G way back. Remember the restrictions that were placed upon them -- I mean writing superheroes WITHOUT violence? There were a few stories with Aquaman underwater which were an improvement, but by literally taking him out of his element -- the writers were severely limited with what they could do with him. Which was a shame.

  • The Superfriends did so much damage to Aquaman. Too bad the masses have it engraved in their skulls. They need to watch this show or the JL/JLU shows in which he appeared.

  • Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy!

  • This is the Filmation Aquaman...the Superfriends version sucks...well..the Superfriends sucked.

  • AHahahhahahahaha

  • Now this is the Aquaman I wished I had seen when I was little! Cool!
