How affiliate marketing works - understanding the process

Just to be clear, when you are an affiliate, you are selling other people's products. When you sign up to CB and find a product you want to promote, you create a hoplink and put in your CB nickname and tracking code (optional). So, if someone finds your page about whatever topic you wrote about and decides they want to purchase the product through your hoplink (a.k.a affiliate link), you will make a sale.

A vendor is someone who has created their own product (i.e. created an e-book).
