You have to be skilled in many different areas and of course, wrestling is one of the more dominant points and it was clear in this fight. I agree and disagree with you. Yes take downs are very important, but i do think they are given to much points for it. I would be cool with that if the take down led to a good ground and pound. But i dont think they should be worth much if you take a guy down and he gets right back up with no damage. Kind of like the first 2 rounds chael got bisping down, he did nothing to him. The 3rd round yes chael did take him down and did give out some ground and pound.

the striking was close in both rounds 1 and 2 and chael had more takedowns in both those rounds. that plus chael dominated most of round 3 and you have a chael sonnen victory. its not hard to understand folks.....

michael bisping cannot beat top level fighters or fighters who were champion, he has never beaten a top level fighter in his whole career, he only fought 3 top level fighters, rashad evans, dan henderson, and wanderlei silva and lost to them all...so bisping will never be champion.
Bisping is a point striker who inflicted no damage in the fight. Had he knocked Chael down in one of the first two rounds, the argument could have been made that he won a round. Even when he had Chael in the clinch against the cage, it looked like he was just waiting for the ref to break them up. He didn't do enough to win a round, and certainly not nearly enough to win the fight. Only Sonnen haters, MMA noobs and Brits think Bisping won.
@s0SlCk bisping landed the cleaner strikes and more effective bisping never looked rocked chael did and even admitted it the problem is ufc seeems to work like a wrestling match where if you get a takedown its like a knockdown thats ridiculous a takedown that inflicts no damage is pointless if you cant capitalise on it which chael didnt

I agree and disagree with you. Yes take downs are very important, but i do think they are given to much points for it. I would be cool with that if the take down led to a good ground and pound. But i dont think they should be worth much if you take a guy down and he gets right back up with no damage. Kind of like the first 2 rounds chael got bisping down, he did nothing to him. The 3rd round yes chael did take him down and did give out some ground and pound.

The guy on bottom is just as responsible if not more for stalling as they call it in a ground battle. Bisping is a point striker who inflicted no damage in the fight. Had he knocked Chael down in one of the first two rounds, the argument could have been made that he won a round. Even when he had Chael in the clinch against the cage, it looked like he was just waiting for the ref to break them up. He didn't do enough to win a round, and certainly not nearly enough to win the fight. Only Sonnen haters, MMA noobs and Brits think Bisping won.

I want to see that fight too but UFC will lose respect if I'm right and people find out some day that superfights are starting being. fight was fixed period.

I think people are confused here.As much i thought Sonnen won the fight i think we all know Sonnen SHOULD HAVE WON THE FIGHT! He was actually better than Bisping but Sonnen got the win simply because he did the right things to impress the judges.What impresses the fans isn't always what the judges are impressed with.Bisping should have and could have done more to win.As much as people don't like him he proved in this fight that he is more than just a stand up fighter

i dont like bisping but i give it to him by far man the judges had to of been bias for sonnen i feel bad for the guy he worked his whole career for it clearly won 2-1 and even chael and danna thought so and the judges give it to sonnen for his second shot
