  • they all look like they are scarred,,,

  • Did the boy at 3:19 receive a beating after that?

  • For some reason, I started laughing at 3:19 when she fell. Idk, it must've been the music. It made everything sound melodramatic. :)

  • It looks very nice...but I cant't see any joy in their faces.

  • @MsCash4you I wouldn't be feeling any joy either. Most of us wouldn't. It's scary being picked up and tossed around, especially when the guy is just as new at it as you are. Getting dropped on a dance floor? Not good. The "joy" look comes for people who feel really comfortable with it, or someone who pasted the smile on their face and hoped for the best, not for people who are trying to learn something so difficult. (I'd say their look was concentration, nothing more, nothing less).

  • their so beautful

  • about how old are the girls?

  • @Karen1andKaren2 They are between 16 and 17 years old.

  • Que linda a menina de colant lilás dançando! *---*

  • B E A U T I F U L!! =) I <3 Ballet

  • Such nice boys :))))

  • ...rule#1 If you see a girl is about to fall..You help her up! I suppose they did good...It was more than one guy :)

  • the girl at 2:25 looks like she is having a ball x

  • in the black and blue amazing

  • i love the women in the purple leotard she is so graceful and full of technique !

  • this is beautiful <333 this is officially my favorite video of all time (': can someone tell me the title of the music in the background ?? so beautiful <3333

  • may I know the title and the composer of the music please? thank you.

  • the girl in the periwinkle leotard...simply gorgeous! such long legs!

  • <3 soo pretty

  • what is the music in the background? it's s beautiful!

  • nossa tipo entendi tudinhu kkkkkk' (Brasil)

  • do u dance at Bolshoi academy, may seem like a silly question but im very confused

  • is the girl in green at 2:49 from Anaheim Ballet?

  • I know this is a stupid question but what do they teach at bolshoi? Vaganova?

  • @janagroepl Yes they use the Vaganova method :)

  • i cant believe they just through away the shoe's when they die!!! its like throughing away art!

  • @tiffytutu1 I suppose if they didn't they'd end up with a roomful of them really quickly but I know what you mean, I hate throwing away normal shoes when they die so it must be horrible to throw away something that helps you dance so beautifully.

  • @tiffytutu1 yeah, I like to keep my dead pointe shoes with me. I usually decorate them with rhinestones etc and use them as decoration in my room. they mean so much to me even when they're dead. but of course I don't go through one pair a week unlike these girls ;) so I have room to keep my pointes.

  • lol at the end the when the girl fell some guy held her croch XD

  • what was the name of the song playing in the backround?

  • do you have dresscode ilya

  • This is a wonderful video. The editing looks really nice! :) Awesome job!

  • How many hours of ballet a day do they do anyway?

  • i love how you can tell these boys are trained to never drop the girls...at the end when the one girl was falling every guy went to catch her lol.

awesome training and great partnering on their part

  • i like the one in the blue-clean lines

And who is the one in the lime green leotard with halter neck?

    gorgeous

  • @ekaterinakullengren No hate, but you can't pick favorites because they are all beautiful! :)

  • i like the one in the blue-clean lines

  • as if they don't look happy. it's just that, would you want to be giggling while your partner's trying to hold you above his head? DUH. besides, even if you don't have this massive smile on your face and you're not laughing your arse off, ballet has this way of being enjoyable when you're being your most serious.

  • @jinpitakki33 I know exactly what you mean.

  • soooo beautiful. and so damn painful. i remember the first left i ever did, it felt like his hands were cracking my ribs LOL. but being dropped, i guess this kind of thing would happen like every day in a pas de deux class. cos when she was falling, none of the girls had any reaction LOL.

  • For some reason when the girl was almost dropped I was like, 'aw, all the guys rushed to help'. I mean, of course they should help her, but... *sigh* I wish some guys were like that where i live. -__- XP

  • i wish i had long skinny legs like them :(

  • That was beautiful! I really admire these girls and boys! You can tell they really love what they're doing while remaining focused! I really hope to get where they are!

  • Nice music choice. Very atmospheric and ethereal.

  • What is this music?

  • the girl in blue is simply amazing !!!

  • This is a beautiful and instructive video. It looks like this was a lengthy class full of complex and beautiful arrangements/combinations. I never made it to the level of dancing with a partner. And the more advanced dancers I was around always made it look so easy. It really helped me comprehend just how involved and challenging and intricate pas de deux can be. I have so much respect for the character, care, dedication these students/artists show! Thank you for posting this.

  • Does anyone know the name of the song that's used in the video? this is so stunning, they're all so talented!

  • the one in the green leotard is magnificent! they are all so talented!

  • they're so skinny .. o.o

  • What year is this?? in bolshoi school

  • Kudos to the last guy. I know how hard it is on guys to drop a girl, you can lose focus fast. Talented kids!

  • The girl in the green (who almost got dropped) is probably the best in the class, she is a very beautiful dancer, but then again the little one at 2:24 looks like she is really enjoying herself, shes my favee(:

  • Why were their pointe shoes in the trash??

  • I love picking up ballerinas!!

  • @curlyhairfreak30 idk...like the girl at 2:28 and the girl at 2:39...maybe it's just me, but yeah.

  • @banadanzax3

If they were anorexic, they wouldn't be able to do all the stuff that they do. They just do intense ballet for many hours each day, and even if they wanted to gain weight, it would be hard for them.

  • oh man...at least two of those girls look anorexic! And I don't mean just thin, but beyond to a point where it just doesn't look healthy. I know that the dance industry (probably especially ballet) puts a lot of pressure on the dancers to be thin (so they are liftable, and look delicate etc.) but I really hope some of these dancers look after their bodies better.

  • @banadanzax3 which girls????????

    just asking by the way

  • @gravyboatK what the hell kind of stupid comment was that?

  • why is the girl in the back only marking the movements?

  • @RussianBalletFan22 it doesn't look like there's enough guys. she's probably just waiting her turn.

  • I'd take the pointe shoes out of the trash :D

    *

  • i loved how the boys went running for her omg :) ..<3..

  • i dont get why the last thing was pointe shoes in the trash :P

  • I really love, how the boys are such carefull, and kinda gentleman side for the girls!

  • @Orchiidify me too *-*

i cant wait to start doing pas de deux *-*

  • @nadsof

Omg, you're so lucky! Where do you dance?

  • @Orchiidify yap :b

im studying in the conservatory (im from Portugal, btw)but im going to do auditions at the end of the year to go The Royal Ballet School in London (:

  • @nadsof

    Wow! That must be wonderfull!!

The Royal ballet school in London, is an amazing balletschool.

Sylvie Guillem has danced there, rigth? Wish you best luck!

  • @Orchiidify

Ye, its a great school *-*

I dont know, but people like Alessandra Ferri and Alina Cojocaru did study there (:

    Thank you so much! <3

  • @nadsof

    Boa mer## ;)

(dizem que desejar sorte dá azar ^^)

  • they are beautiful!

  • What is the name of the song?

    very nice video ;D

  • @ispinelli it's from the soundtrack of Braveheart, starring Mel Gibsen, composed by James Horner, who also did the all famous Titanic. Beautiful choice of music for this awesome vid.

  • AMAAAAZINNGG!!!!! LOVE IT!

  • AMAAAAZINNGG!!!!! LOVE IT!

  • if only i could fall as graceful as the girl in the green.

  • such a beautiful video

  • lol that would suck if one of them had a really fat girl

  • @Mastersargentkelso ahaha. which is why ballerinas are never fat. and doing that amount of ballet, it's just physically impossible to get fat anyway.

  • @jinpitakki33 agreed the amount of work we put into it everyday, were burning like 7000 calories

  • I wonder whether there is something more beautiful than ballet. I love this video, thanks for posting.

  • это была реклама сока J7 :)

  • wow I've always admired ballet dancers 0_0

  • This is one of my favourite videos ever. But makes me a little upset, because i couldnt never be that talented.

  • @kezababe you shouldn't be discourage! Anything is possible you know there are people who started ballet at age 30 or 20 and still become successful! If you want to, GO FOR IT :)

  • @princessloverish thank you! im 15 and im grade two, been going for around 4/5 months. I wish my mother sent me when i was younger! Really? I LOVE ballet. But i guess you are right! Thank you! :D x

  • @kezababe LOL! You are most welcome! I am going to be 17 in 2 days lol I still haven't even started doing ballet lol but I decided that when I turn 18, and when I am in college making money ,I am going to enroll my self into adult ballet and then work myself to a higher class! My goal will be to be on pointe! God I love pointe lol

  • @princessloverish Yeah you deffinatley should i love it! My friend is getting her first set of pointe shoes on friday, im so jelous, its my goal too! Its so beautiful, but ive still got a long way to go before i get that good! haha, i suppose its just fun, like im in a local show just now, and i love it! x

  • @kezababe It's only partly talent, most of any dance is hardwork, that means stretching at least once a day and being very focused. I'm a male dancer who has just started to get focused, and I've been improving greatly. Turnout, body structure and any problems with your bones or joints are the only things that cannot be improved, I believe.

  • @robbiefenton

You can improve turnout. You just have to work extremely hard.

  • They don't look american. Where are they from?

  • @allielara hmm..well it says Bolshoi as the video title..now where could Bolshoi be..well for once it`s the world-leading school of ballet so it must me..let`s say how about Russia??

so if the school is in Russia they are probably Russian :p

  • @allielara haha yeah they're skinny of course they're not american AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA. ha.

  • I wish I could take a partnering class

  • when the Girl fell at the end all the girls were like Whatever and the guys were like we got you my princess!

  • Oh my God, I just gasped at the end!!!!

    Beautiful video, though, really beautiful.

  • I'd love to be one of those guys partnering those beautiful ballerinas!!

  • o my gosh it is awesome!

  • i would kill to be able to dance at the Bolshoi :/

  • wow!!!!!!!!

  • ballet makes me cry.. its so beautiful.. like the angels dance.

  • their concentration is just exceptional, and they have a very nice energy about them! This is a definite indication of their school and teacher

  • @TheMsstorms Lol! XD

  • I love how everyone went running after that girl that fell. They all seem happy and very talented. They must all be close from spending so much time together.

  • ballet is so beautiful! Nothing on earth can compare to the feeling of being on stage...that's just ...AMAZING!!

  • soooo goood on pointes! :( How do i improve on pointes. :(((

  • @prettygabby strengthen your ankles, and dont be scared or hesitate with any steps that you do..

  • @mittiee Thank you! :) This is my first time this recieve from stranger. :D

  • do you know how hard it is to get guys to do ballet XD I tried getting my boyfriend to do it and he was like o.o "no..." I was like "but think of all the smexy girls that you could frollock with!" :D "no" o.o ":("

  • PINKISHGLUESTICK I TOTALLY AGREE with you.Dancing is beatiful and feels great to the body and soul and taks concentration and discipline that's why I believe none-dancers don't understand that we are happy.

  • To those of you doubting the happiness of these performers: Just because they're not laughing and goofing off doesn't mean they're not happy, it simply means they're focused. Trust me, if they didn't like ballet, they wouldn't be there. By that age all of the weaklings who don't enjoy what they are doing and take it seriously have been weeded out. Pa de duex is an extremely difficult and dangerous thing; there is no room for goofing around.

  • @pinkishgluestick

    Good answer!

    Thank you.

  • @ilyaballet No, thank you for posting! This is beautiful!

  • @ilyaballet of course!

  • ballet makes me cry.. its so beautiful.. like the angels dance.

  • @pinkishgluestick

ballet makes me cry.. its so beautiful.. like the angels dance.

  • @pinkishgluestick They don't have to be smiling or laughing. I can see their happiness in their eyes and movements. They all support each other as well. When that one girl fell, all the boys ran to help her and make sure that she's okay. They're family, and that's the way it should be! <3

  • @pinkishgluestick well said :)

  • the music almost made me crie.

  • PDD is the best part of ballet!!

  • they are such beautiful dancers. I think I like the end though when all the guys run to catch her :]

  • wow.. that was depressing. let's hope they're not as unhappy as they look.

  • @katieschannel I did Ballet when I was younger. It's impossibly difficult and nerve wracking especially for the girls because they have to put to much trust into their partners for not ending up on their heads. It's not a hip hop dance class where its all laughs and giggles. And seeing where these dancers are they're still in the learning stage and are probably constantly dissappointed with themselves.

  • @katieschannel if they weren't absolutely CRAZY for ballet, there's no way they would have made it into the bolshoi. just saying :)

  • me pueden decir como se llama la cancion..? pleaseee..!!!

  • Some of the female dancers are really skinny!!

  • yes)) they r really licky to study there))

  • What I like about the Bolshoi is that they're not so obsessed with the "perfect" ballet body like the Vaganova. They are both amazing schools, but the Bolshoi seems a bit more lenient on body types. All of them are skinny, but they aren't super thin like many of the Vaganova students (no offense, it's just my opinion).

  • wow when that girl was falling the boys were like all running to her but the other girls were like "what the hey, let her fall"

  • why oriental music??

  • @Kikiomme it is actually music from the movie "Braveheart". It is about William Wallace and the Scottish revolting agains the British rule in the middle ages.

  • Wow I can only wish a was that good. Well done!

  • Btw those asking what the song is... it's the princess pleads for wallace's life from the braveheart movie. Amazing pas de deux class, i only wish i could dance like that.

  • what song is this. so nice

  • @ilyaballet

    What grade is this?

  • I love how all the boys went running for the falling girl :) They were amazing, especially the girls in the green and the blue.

  • i love ballet!

  • what class is this (is it second or third?)

  • Lovely, of course. I'm glad she didn't hit her head. This is a very professional class. If I lived there, I would want to train at that school!

  • @AriaInTheSky Are you sure that you have enough talent to be in that school? there is very strict selection of students

  • @olddino2005 I realise that. Notise that I said "want to train" and not "be training". I've grown up hearing about the Bolshoi all the time, including its standards.

  • wow~*

  • What is this beautiful music?

  • why end a vid with poor girl falling? she's real good though!:)

  • I wish I could be one of those girls.

  • oh how i miss it =[

  • amazing...

  • incredible dancers.

  • so beautiful♥

  • its so beautiful. but they look dangerously skinny.

  • @PurpleSnakexX even the men

  • dey ar amazig...they could smile a bit more though

  • GOsh these girls are gorgeous. What school is this?

  • bolshoi ballet academy in moscow

  • what music is this? is beautiful.

  • it's from the soundtrack of braveheart

  • they are really amazing

  • it was kinda funny wen the girl fell, but even tho she fell she didnt have a "giving up" face her face looked determined to make the move right thats a good quality in a ballerina [:

  • All the boys went running for her :P

  • @dancer2bff7

on our duet lesson boys specially did all the things that we fall...and if someone girl fall they laughed and didn't come to help....

  • @takibi777 It's because your boys aren't Russians

  • i love how even the girl in green, through the vid, i though wow she is beautiful!!! her face looks so kind, and her body looks so strong, and when she fell, idk i felt a feeling of reasurance, even they fall, or trip, it was really incouraging!!! thank you sooo much for posting this!!<3

  • perfect!

  • What level is this?

  • The ladies in the blue and green have great strength and know how to make it seem effortless and beautiful... all of them are great! So glad to see so many younge men in here as well... It's so inspiring to see younge people work so hard... We hide our strength with beauty and grace, yet undeniably, it is still there!

  • i agree, did you get the last part of ur comment of anaheim ballet?? lol awesome :)
