That scene is not actually from "Airplane", the 1980 film from Zucker-Abrahams-Zucker. It's actually from the film "Airport 1975", the 1974 film. There is a scene from "Airplane" that spoofs this scene directly, but this is not the parody. It's still a good scene, though.
@tyrannosaurusburke When I say "airplane fans will recognize this scene" it is meant to mean that they will see the resemblance and that the airport scene was based on this scene in Airport 75. I think most people understood that.
According to the Airplane! DVD the producers wanted to have Helen Reddy play a singing nun again in their movie but Universal Studios, who made the "Airport" movies wouldn't allow it.
Cute scene from Airport '75 which was spoofed hilariously in "Airplane". Watching this made me think about a couple of things: The little girl getting her I.V. accidentally pulled out by the singing nun, as well as the very bright colors of the seats on that plane!
Well the new Airport Movies were recently compiled and were done properly for the new LCD HD TVs and for the new HD DVd players because the new dvds are Hd rwith the best high resolution and the new set of all the compled Airport Terminal Pack is now out and man when i saw Airport '75 with my favorite of all i couldnt believe the quality and how Helen Reddy as a nun singing this dilly was what made the movie

from Airport 1975 is another talented lady that I've met. Miss Nancy Olsen.
