This game has a great orchestrated soundtrack, especially in the boss battles with bowser. But the music just doesn't seam to fit the mario tone at all, I mean some tunes almost sound like they should be in the god of war games.

The one track is sort of split into two parts: the one where bowser is right side up, and the other when he's upside down and the opera is playing. In your description, it says that this is the final battle between Mario and Bowser. It looks like the second (or third) boss battle. Otherwise, this is my favorite boss fight in Super Mario Galaxy. The music adds to the drama even more. It sounds like something in Final Fantasy.
yeah i agree too...reminds me of kingdom hearts cause they have that chorus type music and final fantasy...it's amazing i love fighting bowser just so i can hear it and kick his ass at the same time lol

It's the battle of the 2nd dome. the 3rd dome is Bowser Jr., then the 4th dome is Bowser again, the 5th one is King Kaliente, and the 6th dome doesn't have a boss, but the Bowser's Galaxy reactor i guess you can call that the 6th dome boss since that IS the big actual battle.
Wasn't this the first battle with Bowser?

God, I love how deep Bowser's "voice" is in SMG. It fits him the best of any non-Paper sounds I've heard for him.
Paper Bowser's another story. That's when the lighter one works.
