This never gets old.. I actually remember watching this whole show more than 10 years ago as a kid.. so awesome... sound FX or not, doesn't change how real the footage is.. and also a lot of these sfx are pretty accurate if you've ever seen this kind of driving on the street.

Did the police know they were kids and inexperience drivers. if so why not use the chopper and prevent a major potential accident?

One thing I did not like about this show is how they added police siren and skidding noises. When you are watching the show from the helicopter you can not hear the skids and it just ruined the show for me.
