  • I always was surprised you guys never went anywhere, but watched this I know why. The music is good, BUT you guys really needed to have a different singer cuz even though Scott has good stage presence, he never could sing. There wasn't one note that was on key. It's almost like he doesn't hear the music while he's singing. It's not just this song, it's EVERY Mechanics and Poop song. He needs a new ear.

  • Damn these chaps were good Shame they were never signed. Lead guitarist Schenker like play!! Good to live in Fullerton back then.

  • is mike ness in this video

  • Some great guitar playing there!

  • You're my new best friend :-) Thanks for the comment!

  • The singer is really hot.

  • This is really fucking good.

  • Is that Mike Ness on bass?

They did not show much the bassist and the drummer.

I never heard of The Mechanics before but now I discovered this rockin' band.

  • Hi, no, that's Tim Maag on bass, later guitarist of D.I. and short time bassist with The Cramps (renamed Touch Hazard...) Sandy Hancock on drums, later with the reformed Adolescents, China White and now with Mama Hagglin'. Played on some Joey Ramone solo stuff too!

  • Love these guys. They were always one of my favorites on Rockola Friday Night, which BTW, was simulcast on KNAC-FM, Los Angeles.

  • Thanks for the nice comment Bobby. Wanted to tell you I've shared your Erik Braunn & his new Jaguar story with everyone, including a daughter I didn't know he had. If the rest of this tape ever turns up I'll put some more dough in your pocket :-)

  • La Mort!!!!

  • Hah! You may be the one person that remembers La Mort :-)

  • No,I remember them too!(I played drums in that band too). I love you Dennis!!!

  • Awesome. My buds and me used to hang with the Mechanics a lot in their practice studio behind the pawn shop off Harbor - pretty close to the current Heroes. Saw them play once at Drink w/ My Shrink (or was it Mikkies?) - also many times in Hollywood. Remember Scott once - I think at the Trubador - walk from the stage across those little cocktail tables - picked up a candle from the table and poured the hot wax all over himself - so Iggy!

  • Oh yeah, the old hot wax down the pants trick i remember that I was playing drums.

  • Priceless...wish there were more videos of these guys.

  • Real cool. Mix of Johnny Thunders and Iggy Pop. Real smooth.
