@uncrules95 : your 1957 title has as much to do with the modern era of college basketball as the 1904 football title does for Michigan. Or baseball in the 1950s against the steroid era of the past 15 years. You can compare things in the modern era, since the tournament became the tournament. I'll even start it in 1980 with 48 teams in the tournament. Or you can take the current coaches against each other. Its the only legit comparison....

I seem to remember a few years back after K had back surgery and Dook didn't make the NCAA. Enjoy a Carolina rebuilding year while you can with 3 long range shooters coming in next year and at least Carolina can claim a distinction that Duke can't--they beat NC State TWICE this year(and they handed Wake Forest their first home loss of the year)
